Avis...free to add spouse?

I have a rental car with Avis for our April trip that I won on PL. I have heard that Avis offers free additional driver if it is your spouse. Does anyone know if that applies to PL reservations? TIA

I looked this up this morning on the Avis website. A spouse is a free additional driver with Avis any where in the US. -- Suzanne

I'm sure this is true for all rentals, but keep your gas receipt if you return the car with a full tank. We waited a long time to check the car in with Avis and hastily ran to the airport. Once inside, we realized we were charged over 50.00 for a tank of gas. We called immediately and were told we had to call billing on Monday. It was a huge hassle, but after many phone calls and faxing a receipt we were finally credited. We have never had that happen prior to this.
