My AVG Free 9.0 is not scanning incoming Thunderbird e-mail, like my previous AVG 8 did. I have uninstalled and reinstalled AVG 9.
Under E-mail Scanner, AVG just lists Microsoft Outlook as "Installed e-mail protection". Is it possible that AVG no longer scans Thunderbird e-mail?
I have been plagued with trojan horse infections, and have to run a/v scans almost daily with AVG and Malwarebytes. My best guess is they are coming from email, and it is obvious that AVG 9 is not scanning as they come in. My scans are catching these infections, but it would be nice to catch them as they come in.
Any suggestions?

Turns out, AVG only installed some kind of upgrade onto AVG 7 instead of uninstalling AVG 7 then doing a clean install of Version 8. Once I removed both AVGs and installed version 8 it was working fine. Maybe the same thing will happen for you with Version 9.
