I am trying to figure out if the dining plan is "worth" it. If I average $40 a day for QS and $10 a day for snacks for a family of 3, I come out ahead on the dining plan (we are doing several TS breakfasts but with the price increase we are within $40 from paying out of pocket with this calculations)

Is that a reasonable cost to spend per day on QS and snacks? We had the dining plan last time and it wasn't worth it but with 1900 park fare, chef mickey and minnie's seasonal dine dinner it seems that the calculations are worth it if I average those QS and snack credit prices. What are your thoughts? Going for 10 nights/11days if that makes a difference.

You really have to run the numbers for you family, for us it's not worth it we prefer the room discounts. It is just too much food and we don't like being tied down to having to eat a certain way.

It really is very family specific. Some questions for you to answer, keeping in mind that this IS vacation:

Do you prefer soda/coffee/tea or do you prefer to drink water?
Do you want a dessert with every meal for every person?
Are you light eaters?
Would you make use of the mugs, do you see them as a cool souvenir, or are they just there?
Do you want 10 TS meals or more or less?
What kind of snackers are you? Everyone gets at least one a day or you share one or two among you or you don't snack?

The QS plan is going to set you back about $100/day for two adults and a child. I couldn't follow your "average," was that per day or per person or total per day for all three of you?
