AVENTURA HOTEL INFO.......

Curious how you had booked your stay, not through Universal?
Booked through Universal. Had my email with the confirmation, along with the price per night breakdown. Manager looked at me like I had two heads wanting the price I had booked. It was...a frustrating start to the vacation lol.

You mentioned it took 3 days to get resolved...what happened? Definitely not a promising start to a vacation!
They wound up honoring the original amount. But he told me if I book a stay in June, the pricing might be different in October. Right. Makes total sense lol

I'm curious...you were dealing with the same manager the entire time and in the end, he said your original booking rate would be honored? By his logic, none of us would know the cost of our hotel stay until check-out...I agree it makes no sense.

I just checked my reservation that I made a few days ago. The listed price on the universal website has gone up by ~$100/night for the same room types and dates. Guess I better bring a printed copy of my reservation in case I get flagged by the same manager

His reasoning was "HHN is this month, so all the rates are higher."

I know there is a microwave and toaster in the pantry area where people can use to heat things etc.

Also in the area is a hot water dispenser, can anyone use these or are they just for guests who have purchased the refillable mugs for drinks at the resort ?

thanks
J

Anyone can use them, I brought some tea bags for breakfast, and just asked for a cup for hot water.

Do they have Early check in?
First half of our vacation is at the Contemporary and the second half is at the Adventurra, so we are having a "switch" day a relaxing day amongst the quick amusement parks to relax and switch hotels but when check out at one hotel is at 11am and check in at the other hotel is at 4pm that a little bit of a problem. Do they hold your luggage so we can go on the city walk?

You can check in as early as you like. Your room may not be ready but yes, you can leave your luggage with them and head to the parks or the pool.

If you're staying on a lower floor, is it possible to take the stairs instead of the elevator? (Just want to make sure the stairs aren't emergency exit only or anything.)

I saw someone post on FB about staying here and they had a view of Disney Fireworks from their room, but they didn't say which room or area of the hotel they were in. Does anyone by chance know which rooms might have the best chance of this?

High floors facing Disney?
The highest floors are a separate bookable category at Aventura. Skyline view.

I took the stairs. First floor exit was outside the hotel. Not an issue. A surprise.

Stayed at Aventura for a week for our horror nights trip again earlier this month.

Standard room this time for 3 of us it was fine. We were on the 9th Floor overlooking the parking garages. The air conditioning units on top give off a bit of noise but it never impacted on our sleep at all.

Staff were great, we had housekeeping most days and if we didn’t we requested clean towels that arrived quickly.

We ate at Bar 17 and Urban Pantry both were lovely. The breakfast of folded eggs at Urban Pantry was massive. View attachment 907275

Really handy having a Starbucks in the lobby.

The pool was fine but the hot tub was out of order a couple of days, we did hop to Sapphire one day.

Did a mix of walking and using the Sapphire boat.

Already have our next stay booked.
Wmoon, how did you find walking to the parks? Was it a long walk? We are going next week and trying to decide if we want to walk any more than necessary in the heat and humidity.

Just to pitch in, we stay at Aventura frequently and enjoy the walk which is about 15-20 minutes depending on pace. The buses are plentiful and efficient if you choose that route… we just enjoy the walk. We’ve also occasionally walked and then picked up a boat from either SF or RP. But 90% of the time, we just walk. We do cut through SF a little and take the above-road tunnel to RP conference area which then leads to the outside near their boat dock. This way, we are in the AC longer and likewise it’s great if it rains to be under cover longer.

IF you are at Aventura you can also see the fireworks from the bar on the roof.

They are not that close - but you can see them.
