Aveeno face lotion

After reading an article about flaky skin and how it might not be dry skin but rather an allergic reaction to the lotion, I switched to Aveeno ultra-calming face lotion a couple of days ago.

Sure enough, the flakiness is almost totally gone, the redness is gone, and my complexion is clearing up. This stuff is amazing! The downside is that it was $15 for 4 oz. Is there anywhere that sells it cheaper or regularly puts it on sale so I could stock up? I am SO not used to spending that much on face lotion (but then again I was getting the results that I was paying for I guess )

Now, I haven't tried this yet, but our Wal-Mart just came out w/ an "Equate" brand that competes w/ the Aveeno ultra calming. ( I was looking at it on Sunday...how weird is that??) Anyway, I compared the ingredients and they were exactly the same w/ the same % and ingredients as Aveeno. The upside was it was $ 4.97!!! I usually use Aveeno also. ( love that stuff) but I'm going to give Wal-Mart's brand a try...... Hopefully, it's just as good. ( I'm also going to see if maybe CVS has one too....usually CVS comes out w/ their own brands to compete). I hope this helps !!

I'll keep an eye out-I know my Walmart didn't have an equate brand of it when I bought the Aveeno, or I would've tried that first.

Yup. I'm using that. I used to use Olay Complete, but as I get older (and older, and older.. lol) I found that I needed something a little more substantial. The Target version is great, it's nice and thick and around $9 - but I haven't tried the original Aveeno version of it. (I'm waiting for a coupon!)

Just last month my DH and I switched from Neutrogena Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer SPF 45 to Aveeno Ultra Calming Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 (link here) and we love it! DH has very sensitive skin that seems to appear red quite a bit and this really helps it.

My local Bed Bath & Beyond their Harmons products and I just got a 2nd bottle there with a 20% off coupon. It's reg. $14.59 and turns out to be $11.62 + 7% tax = $12.43.

FYI... Harmons is a health & beauty store chain that is owned by BB&B.

I've heard that the Aveeno Baby lotion is the same as the facial lotion and it is cheaper. How long did it take you to see results with the Aveeno? I just started using the Aveeno Baby and so far it seems a little better.

I use this product too and usually I will just buy it at Target. But, I'm trying to keep an eye out for it at CVS when it goes on sale or has an EB and I will also use a coupon with it. Maybe check amazon.com?
