This may be rehashing an old thread, but you know me - I hate thread digging!

What is the new Avatar Land like in WDW? What are the rides like, if any? I'm a huge fan of the film, but could see how such a rich yet blank tapestry the title presents itself as.

What is the new Avatar Land like in WDW? What are the rides like, if any? I'm a huge fan of the film, but could see how such a rich yet blank tapestry the title presents itself as.

There are several (very lengthy) threads on the Theme Parks Strategies board about the new land.

We were there in June. Na'vi River Journey - very nice decorations (not a fantastic ride), much like small world without the cute dolls or song.

Flight of Passage - well worth doing.

Is Flight of Passage a simulator ride?
I remember the last simulator ride I did was Body Wars, yes, many years ago but never again. I just can't take those simulator rides.
Id love to do FOP but kind of afraid cause I'm thinking it's a darn simulator ride.
Any info?

It is, but from what I can tell it is more like Sorain' with more motion, rather than Body Wars or Star Tours. I don't know if that makes it any better for you, but it does have some differences. I hear it's not that bad, though it does use 3D and that bothers some people too.
