Availability of reservations at the Poly

We have the opportunity to buy in to the Poly, but are concerned about the ability to actually be able to reserve a room at the 11 month window. Our usual trips are in early September and May. The DVC will reduce our annual costs, but would be useless if we cannot reserve space. Does anyone have any suggestions for us

Poly is generally not hard to book at 11 months, remember they have a lot of Studios.

I wouldn't be worried about booking Poly at 11 months in September and May. Easter/Thanksgiving/Christmas weeks would likely be the only times it's hard to get a room at your home resort right at 11 months. We were able to get Poly at 7 months for this past April with no issues.

I got a standard studio for September 22, 23, 24 on August 1 this year. Also got June 29 to July 4 at 7 months.

I was able to book 9 nights at the Poly at 7 months. Granted, I did have to piece it together because I do not own there. If you own there, you will have no problem.

We got 3 nights last May at 7 mos. out then added another day to the end of our stay at about 2 mos. out. There was plenty of availability.

Don’t know if you already know this but DVC poly only have studios they haven’t got any 1 or 2 bedrooms. However they do have the bungalows but they are VERY point intensive so most wont be reserving them.

Don’t know how many you will be traveling but staying more than 3 in those studios IMO will be very cramped. You may feel otherwise.

Most of the year, if you book at 11 months, Poly is not a problem. The first two weeks of December and certain holidays, your success may vary.

Poly has not yet had any issues of reserving any time of the year at 11 months out, and that includes the highest DVC demand times of the year that occur between late Sep and marathon weekend in Jan at WDW. For the time you mention, early Sep and May, it has thus far always been open at 7 months out.

We booked two standard view studios for a week in September (the week after Labor Day) at the 7 month mark with no issues.

Typically booking at 11 months is not an issue. I think there are a few resorts with certain room types that are tough to get at 11 months (standard studios at VGF or value rooms at AKL). I was able to get 2 studios in April at the 7 month mark. If you are considering travel between September and January (busy DVC time) then you definitely want to book at 11 months.
