Hello all, I wonder if anyone has experience with this:
I know sometimes, if your resort of choice is full, but you call back, eventually there might be a room available.
Does this work with AAA discounts?
When I go to the AAA website, I can get a list of all the hotels and the rates for my dates. (As an aside, the website, inconveniently, does not tell you if you are getting a discount, so some rates shown are AAA discounts and some are not. However, I can figure out if it's a discount by looking up the rack rate elsewhere.)
However, if the rate showing on the AAA website is in fact not a discounted rate, is it possible that more AAA discount rooms might open up later? Or, once a AAA discount is given on a room, if that room is cancelled later, does it go back into the "rack rate" pool of rooms?
Also another question if anyone has experience with this: the AAA site said "rate changes during stay - see below", but in fact, "below" there was no mention of a rate change.
I have booked AAA before through Disney, and if your stay crosses seasons, which mine does, you still get the check-in rate during your whole stay, even with a AAA discount, if through Disney. However, some travel websites (Expedia?) do charge a day-by-day rate. So, does anyone know offhand if the AAA rates change, if you book through AAA, if your stay crosses "seasons" (which mine does?) I will call Monday but it would be nice to know before then.
Thanks!!!
