WOW! That would save me almost $300 over the AAA discount, even with having to pay full price for DH and I (w/ 3 kids)...too bad I'm not going this year!

Does anyone know if Amtrak has a history of this type of deal for the Autotrain?

I'm not going to Disney this year either but just happened to get a great promotion deal on one-way tickets from NY to DC. Original ticket price was around $315 for 7 people. With the sale promotion the cost was $214!!! Happened to see the Autotrain promotion and thought I would share. I have a whole other Amazing Family Vacation planned for this year!

Now if they would just do something for those of us who do not travel with children, then I could book the autotrain and arrive in Florida relaxed and ready to take on the World. Does anybody know if they ever do any kind of promotions for people like me? Thanks in advance for any information.

Hi Wifeofjack. Haven't seen an "adult" discount for the AutoTrain in about 2 and 1/2 years. The last discount I saw was on the "railsale" page back in December of 2003. I was able to purchase adult passanger tickets for the Sanford to Lorton trip for $54 each and the car was about $140 for our Jan 04 trip. But there hasn't been anything there for the AutoTrain since. The only discount has been the AAA one.

Anyone know when they post discounts for the Autotrain for 2007. Current offer only good for travel though sept 2006 Any info anyone has on this would be GREATLY appreciated!! Our first vacation in 7 years and my husband has NEVER been to Disney World!! neither have my kids!!!
