Autographs & sharpies

We always use a black sharpie. I bring multiple sharpies on a trip and have never had a problem. We make photo books on Shutterfly with character pics from previous trips and have them sign next to their pictures and they never bleed through.

We always take sharpies and they work wonderfully. We always have some spare and have given them to other guests in lines that sometimes didn't have pens. They do bleed through the autograph books but only onto the back of the page. We never do back and front pages so this isn't a problem. I'm fairly sure characters won't sign in green pen, as this stains their outfits. Every other colour is fine

We just use the biro pens they sell at the carts selling autograph books. The characters have never had any problem holding them and they write pretty well.

My dd is a character hunter and autograph collector. We have 5 or 6 of the blue DLR and WDW autograph books filled to capacity with siggies. We only have them sign on one side of the page as I have delusions of someday scrapbooking them with the pix. :goodvibes We have always used sharpies with absolutely no problems whatsoever. They don't really bleed through the paper but they are visible on the other side. They're not a good choice if you're going to use both sides of the paper but truthfully I don't think ball point is much better because you can still see the indentations from the other side which is not pretty at all imo.

We've gotten many thumb's up from characters and handlers for the clickable sharpies but have never had any complaints about the regular capped ones that come in different colors. Dd likes to choose the color to match the character (red for minnie, brown for chip, etc) she's silly like that so I actually carried a ziploc with about 8-10 different pens with us on this last trip. No problems with any of the colors whatsoever. I always open the pen before handing it to the character, no issues.
