DH and I found out a few weeks ago we are expecting our first child, and we are so excited to celebrate at WDW next week! I want to buy a children's storybook while there and have the character from the book sign it. I was thinking maybe buy a classic Pooh book in UK and get Pooh to sign it. Any other ideas?

TIA!

Congratulations! What an exciting time!

I like the idea of a pooh book, it's classic for little ones.

We have an encyclopedia of Disney characters from a friend who had each character they met sign their page in the book. It's super cute, and we plan to bring it with us on future trips for DS to keep adding signatures. Could be a fun idea if you plan to take the little one do Disney in the future.

Adorable! I'm a kids' book addict, so I think it's a fun idea to start their library before they're even born! I'd definitely hit up the kids book section of the book store while having my phone open to Kenny The Pirate's site, as he's quite thorough on character info. Little Golden Books are a classic and a good size for the parks. Buy up any you find that have matching characters who meet in the parks. Even though you won't have a baby bump to show, it will be fun to get a photo and be able to someday tell baby "that's when you were in mommy's belly!" Attach them in the front of back cover of the book.

If you're lucky, someday you'll be able to go back and bring the book again with your kiddo! It will make for really fun character interactions.

Congratulations!

Like PPs said - little golden books are great for carrying around the park. I'd have them sign on the inside, though. We tried having Aurora sign the outside cover of a golden book in November, and while the autograph is still there, it did smudge a bit.

We also took a Disney Storybook Collection book (we took the Christmas one, since we were on a Christmas trip). Characters that had stories inside the book signed the title page of their story. Other characters signed the inside pages of the front and back covers. It is a really awesome souvenir, and we love it :)

Check kenny the pirate's site, but I thought Pooh no longer meets at UK? Maybe go to Crystal Palace for breakfast one day - its a beautiful setting - for all those stories' characters' signatures. And you can be sitting in lovely AC while they come to.

What a great idea!! What a lucky baby! If you go to 1900 Park Fare for breakfast, you could get Pooh & Tigger, also you could bring the original books of Alice in Wonderland (Mad Hatter meets there) and Mary Poppins (she was practically perfect in every way). Those are 3 classics that are easily acquired.

These are all such great ideas, thanks! Hadn't thought of buying the book in advance, I had planned to pick one up there. Will look into it!
