Hey Everyone...
I have a little question. Last year we bought autograph books, (everyone in our family, which included little cousins and all), and we are all trying to figure out if we should buy new ones, or bring the old ones back with us. I'd like to hear your opinion if its not too much trouble! Thanks! :-D

Blank pages in them I say bring them back and use them.Took my grandson 3 trips to fill is.::yes:: :wave2:

We reuse ours too. We have one set for WDW, one for DL. I date the corner of the pages after we get the autographs.
Reuse had two benifits, aside from the obviouse $.
1) My DD was very impressed that the Pooh signature from the second year matched the first years.
2) If a line was really bad I could say "We already have X's autograph in our book, do you want to wait in this long line to get it again or ride X" 2 out of 3 times I got out of waiting in that autograph line.

I've used the same book for multiple trips as I usually dont get that many autographs and Ive never had a problem- I try to only get characters I dont have so it limits the amount I can get-

There are some that like to have the current books for each trip but I prefer to have a few full books :) I hope to fill my current one by next year so I can get a DL 50th book :)

We reuse our books. Before each trip, I mark the first empty page with the date of the trip and fold the page so that we can easily find where to begin. My DS has enjoyed going in to see how many times we will have the same signature. And HaleyB is right, the signatures are really the same. My son really gets a kick out of that.

We brought ours back and filled it up. We have the kind that you can put a picture in it. We tried not to get the same character twice. I hope I can find the same book when we go down, it is really neat putting the picture in it.

Guess we are the "odd" answer. I like to get new ones each trip

However, if I was only going once every year or less, it would depend on a couple of things -
had the books changed since the last trip
would I be only working on autographs that I didn't already have

If the books had changed, I would want to get the new one.

If I was going to get the same autographs, I would just start a new book.

For us, the book is one of the souvenirs of that specific trip. We can look back at the book and remember when and where we were on that trip. So, we like to get a new one.

We want to get a new one this year. Last year we used the blue Mickey one. It was all we found to purchase at the park. But, this year a friend just got back from DL and she got a beautiful pink Princess book with places for pictures next to the autographs. I sure hope WDW has those.

We choose to only have characters sign on the right page and attach a photo to the left page. This allows us to only get 1/2 the autographs in a book. We often fill 1 1/2 books on a trip and purchase a separate one for Universal (if we go). We buy new ones each trip as the photos of the kids certainly change from trip to trip.

hint: If you don't want repeat autographs from the same character, buy a small address book at the dollar store and as you get autographs write the character's name under the appropriate letter. It works wonderfully and last trip we had no repeats. It also saves a lot of time when a lot of characters come out at one time. I can check quickly to see which ones we have thus getting knowing which ones we need.
