For our first trip collecting autographs, I made and printed out at least a hundred autograph cards w/ characters' pictures on them. Then we carried them around in a ziploc baggie and as we got them signed, we put them into a photo album. They turned out great.. we have a chronological record of who we met with pictures and autographs.

However.. I love the idea of having a hardcover book and not having to fumble for the right card. But I also don't know how I would feel about having blank spaces in the book.. we met about 50 characters, so if I had tried to make a book with spots for all 100 characters, there would have been a lot of blanks, you know? I know I could just do photos for the most common characters and generics for the rest, but I loved the reactions we got for rarer characters when we had cards with their pictures on them. We don't do yearly Disney trips or anything.. our first was a few weeks ago and we probably won't get back for two more years at least.

So.. what do you guys think? How does it work for you?

If I were you, I would make an 8x8 photobook. (The one I designed is linked in my signature if you would like to see what they can look like.) The 8x8 pages are often designed for two or three characters apiece, so you save pages and have less of a chance of having pages that remain completely blank. Check out the Autograph Book Thread for links to 8x8 page designers. :goodvibes

Thank you so much! Feel free to copy anything out of my photobucket account, but the 8x8 pages in my book are not available (except for the generic autograph pages at the end). Much of the material that I use in my book design is designated for personal use only, and I don't want to violate the Intellectual Property rights of about 30 different desingners by redistributing them. I DO run the autograph book thread here http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2323160. Post #1 has links to many very talented DISigners who are willing to share their designs for autograph pages of all styles and designs. Come join us! :goodvibes
