I hope someone out there can help me! I am making autograph books for my 4 DD and 1 DS for our 1st trip to disney. I have the layout and all of the "stuff" to make them but.... I have about 70 pictures of characters. This book might get a little heavy and turn into a novel!! Can anyone point me to where I can find a list of who the current characters are or will be in the parks. We will be at FW in Sept.
Any help would be great.

check out wdwautographs.com -- I think this is an awesome site. Have a great time w/your project! Don't forget blank pages too!

I'm not sure what you mean by having 70 pictures if you haven't left yet. Do you mean stickers or drawings :confused3 ? Either way I try to figure one page per character, since they don't need to get another autograph if they see a character more then once. I think one autograph per character will suffice, but if you want more then just give yourself a few extra pages. If you want a picture of your child with said character, figure you need one page for the picture and the facing one for the autograph. Make sure you leave yourself enough room around the decorations for a signature. They tend to write big and the characters with the big heads have a hard time seeing the pages and could end up writing over your pictures. If you are predecorating each page for a specific character make sure you have it opened to the right page before you get to them, which they prefer anyway. Since your kids are so young they might not open to the right page. I would almost just put a few things per page and then once you come back add more around the autograph and picture. I also think the PP has a great idea of going to that website to help determine how many pages you need.

Sorry bout that... I have about 70 clip art images that I will print off onto each page (one per page) on the left side of the 4x6 card. This should give the characters with big hands enough room to write I think. I am trying to find out what characters currently frequent the parks to give autographs. I don't want to have the kids carrying around pages that will never be signed.

You might want to consider the characters at the character dining establishments as your premade pages. Especially if you are planning to attend said dinners. I would also include a few extra blank sheets for the random ones in the parks.

In January, I saw Frolo, Flick and Clarice as random characters that I didn't know I would see.

When I go back in September, I'm going to have a premade one, (similar to what you are doing) and another one with blank colored card stock for the random ones. I'll use the front cover to list the autographs I got last time.

Don't forget your fat pen!

Check out Mouseforless.com on their downloads for your trip page for their character checklist.

The last time we were in Disney, I made an autograph book for our DD. I used 4x6 paper (different colors) some primary and some pastels and punched a hole in the top left corner and used a ring to hold together. I was able to take it apart every night and take out the signed ones and put in a ziploc bag in the room. This worked out GREAT!! WE didn't lose any and all made it home. We ended up with about 60 autographs. Hope this helps.

My daughter enjoyed standing in line and picking which color the character was going to sign on!!

I love our homemade autograph books. What I found works for us is to put a couple clip art on the same page. For instance, Wendy and Peter Pan are on the same page and Captain Hook and Mr. Smee also share a page. If you're planning on scapbooking, this works well because you'll probably have 1 picture with both characters in it. Worse case is that you have two pictures with 1 autograph page. However, I like the looks of that much better than 1 autograph page per picture. Does that make sense?

Well, that's what I did. I put a couple of cliparts on the same page, that keeps the book a managable size/weight. I used cardstock to print out pages and then cut them in half. Office supply store then bound the pages together (I cut them apart at home afterwards).

Definitely have blank pages.

Enjoy your trip - Sept is AWESOME!!!! (and we really like FW)

Thank you all for your help. Some good ideas that I will use. I really like the idea of 2 clip arts per page and also not binding them together and taking out the signed ones at the end of the day..
thank you again!
