I was wondering if anyone had printed the cards in the wallet form -9 to a page?

I wasn't sure if these would be too small for the characters to sign or not but I love how cute they are and the fact you get more on a page. Please let me know if you have tried this.

Also, a friend of mine used index cards and just punched a hole in the top corner at attached to one of those loose rings (that hook together in the middle) All she did was flip to the next page for an autograph (her pages weren't cute though). Just a thought for flexibility.

The princesses or the characters not wearing furry hands might be okay but the others might have trouble.

If you want to use the autographs for scrapbooking then you can always try to have the charaters sign a plain piece of paper, then when you get home you can scan them on to the frames. Its extra work but you will have it just right.

They actually measure like a 3X4 size (business card size). So I may be brave and try it. I think I will borrow my friend's cards and see how the signature's line up on my smaller version(s).

I like the idea of the signature not taking up a ton of room on a scrapbook page. I am a big scrapbooker, so I'm trying to think ahead. But, I don't want this to be a disappointing process (by paper being too small) for my kids who are so excited. I know it will be a wonderful keepsake.

I just have to get SOMETHING done to help pass the time faster! Thanks for the feedback (August 1st 2009 can't get here fast enough)!

I was going to use my original autograph book from 13 years ago (its been that long since I went to WDW) but I want to do the character autograph pages. I did the instructions jtanddolly had, but how can I get more than one picture to print to the page? I am experimenting with regular paper first, then I'll get card stock.

I set the margins to .25, and .2, but a message came up that the margins wouldn't work that way.......? (at least for me, it did)

Any other suggestions? I am probably going to buy a disney photo album to put the pages in.

Has anyone used photo paper. Penny - I am planning on using some of your designs. They are great. I printed some on card stock, some on index cards and some on photo paper. The photo paper looks great and Sharpie does not smear when I write on it. Any thoughts?

Also Penny - any chance you could make a personalized cover for my daughter?

I had all mine printed at Walmart on photo paper. I had NO problems using a Sharpie, infact the autographs looked better. The only problem that I had was when a charater used an ink stamper like Buzz Lightyear and Mr.Incredible:sad1:

Wow - I didn't think about the people who stamp, that would be a problem. & I didn't make note of those that stamp in my listing????:rolleyes1

But you know the princesses sign, so they would be safe?

I would love to make a cover for your daughter. I saw you posted on my other thread, so post the name and DISign there & I will try and get to in the next week. Penny:hippie:

I was lucky because I printed doubles and some blank frames so after I learned my lesson I went back to get the autographs but this time I made sure that Buzz Lightyears autograph was dry before I put it away or before I went on a ride.

Some stampers are: Mr. Incredible , Buzzlight Year, Figment, Frozone

I have about 130 cards ready to print but I'm kinda stressing over whether or not I should make 1, 2, or 3 identical books for my daughters (ages 3, 5, and 21). I also have a teen son but I don't think he's much interested in autographs....well, except maybe for Tinkerbell and that's cuz he's crushing on pretty fairies right now! LOL

Anyway, should I just make the one for all to share? Or should I make 2 ... 1 for the little girls and 1 for the older daughter? OR should I do 3...1 for each one?

Arrrrggghhh! I need some pixie dust!!!

Thanks!

I don't have children, so I am no help. I know I spent hours making cards for my 4 year old nieces and they wanted to buy a book. :lmao:So I used the cards that I got signed for the photo book? that may be your best bet, unless your children are good about sharing???:confused3 Penny:hippie:

I went to Disney in December and made books for all of the children including extended family. If you make 230+ cards like I did...the books can end up pretty heavy to carry around if you have multiples. My sister has two children and she carried both of the books around for her 8 year old daughter and 12 year old son. The son only got a few autographs and wasn't really interested in doing them...he just wanted to ride the rides. After two days of lugging them around...she gave up and only carried one.

My recommendation is only make one and then if your two younger children want to have their own cards signed...take some of the blank ones that have pictures of the four parks in a ziploc baggy that you can pull out. This will save you a lot of time and ink!

Has anyone bound thier autograph books before they went? I wanted to make cute autograph books for DD6 and DS2. If you did bind them beforehand, how did you do it and how did it hold up?

I'm also wondering this. I know I can get them bound at Office Depot or Office Max, but what do you use for a cover? I want to make sure to use something that Office Depot won't have any objections to, but definitely something sturdy.

Does anyone have an opinion as to which autograph book I should attempt to make? Does anyone have 1st hand experience as to which one worked better for them? Either way, after I make my decision, I will have the autograph books bound BEFORE we leave on the trip:

1. Should I make all the pages as 4 x 6 MATTE photos & then mount them onto scrapbooking paper which will then be put into a bound album to be brought on the trip. CONS: Harder time getting signatures for characters who "STAMP" their signatures such as BUZZ. Takes time going to MICHAELS & purchasing & cutting all the paper.

2. Should I make my own pages on cardstock & print them at home. Then have the pages bound at KINKO's before we leave. CONS: Use a lot of my own ink, in case in rains.....the pages can get wet & the ink can "run". OH NO!

I am trying to make the same decision for our August trip. I would love to hear everyone's opinions, too.

In Canada 4x6 prints cost 19 cents! All you have to do is put the pages on to cd then take it to walmart, upload your photos then pick them up in an hour... or you can have them printed in minutes by using either the instant option or machine, but that costs a little more.

Just a little heads up if you have a problem getting the photo lab to print them because of the copy rigjht laws then you can print them using the instant machine.

I printed them out as 4x6 but put them on 5x7 paper so that I could spiral bind them. I used the regular spiral binding back cover and the clear cover that you would usually use when you bind a report. I am lucky as I have the binding machine available to me at my office. I made my own cover but it was seen through the clear cover so that was fine with me. I made three different books only because I had to many pages. I have not started on the scrapbook yet but plan to trim off the edges before I put the pages in it so that only the picture shows. I kept all three in a backpack and they all held up well. Plus, the characters really make a big deal of seeing a personalize page for themselves. I had a lady come to me and ask me where I got it because as she said , "she wanted to go buy one right now, I LOVE IT!" That should make those of you that share your talent with us feel very good.
