Autograph book question

I am in the process of printing out our autograph books for our WDW trip. I am printing them 2 to a page on cardstock. For those of you who have done this, did you cut alongside the design all the way around, or did you leave a little white (margin) at the top for binding? If so, how much? thanks for all your help!!

If you have a 5x7 cover, you will need to leave 1/2" margins on each side and a 1" margin at the top for binding.
