I am in need of ideas for a autograph book for my daughter for our trip in December.
Thanks:thumbsup2

I love the ones you are able to print. Thank you for the site.:thumbsup2

The best advice I got and used on my daughter's book was to make the pages a standard picture size- 3X5 or 4X6 and have the character sign on the right side (when the book is open) and when you get your pictures of your kid(s) with that character-place it on the left side. Then they can see the autograph and their picture.

 We even printed a "pencil" icon on the autograph side so in the rush/excitement to get the autograph you don't get it on the wrong side of the book.

I will be making 2 for our summer visit with the "cousins".

Hope this helps

I love those pages to print out too....

What I just started for my 3 youngest are autograph/scrapbooks...

Bought spiral bound scrapbooks with plain white cardstock at walmart ($1.50 :thumbsup2 for pink and $7.00 for black)

Got stickers, letters, numbers, embelishments, etc at Dollar Tree - spent around $40.00 for the 3 kids (but feel I will have tons left over of somethings and not enough of others)

And scrapbook thick papers packs at Dollar Tree in various solids colors (also have these at Walmart and Michaels for more in different sizes/patterns/colors) - we will have the characters autograph these - taking only the colored papers to the park with the clickable sharpies in various colors

We decorated the outside of the books with stickers, letters, and will put a picture of each child dressed up for MNSSHP on the front

Inside we're gonna put the autograph on one side...then a picture of the child/kids with the character on the other - and have some room for mementos, clipart, or extra stickers...

I was thinking about starting the pages with the characters we know we will see...like Mickey, Minnie, Pooh, Tigger, Donald, etc...and then go from there as base the pages on who we are able to see so we don't try to go character hunt crazy ;) and find every one we printed something for

It's been a great way to pass the time so far....

I have saved the pages for the 20 characters i think we will most likely see Mickey Minnie Ariel Pooh Tigger etc. I am not trying to decide how big i want to print the pages. Im thinking 6x5.5 so i can fit 2 on a page instead of 6x6

For those of you all who have been to WDW or DLR many times, this idea will work great for you. We just returned from our trip to WDW and beforehand I took all of our previous pictures with the characters and dumped them into an iBook template on my Mac. Then I had the albums printed and bound with the iBook/Mac service and we used these photo albums as their autograph books so that the characters could sign their autograph right next to a picture of my girls with them. You don't have to have a Mac to do this, we found out later that you can create photo albums like these at Snapfish and Shutterfly, and I'm sure there's many more places out there, and some of their templates and options were pretty cool, but they were more expensive than the iBooks. Our girls loved handing the characters their books and talking to them about the pictures. Just make sure that when you do it you leave enough empty space on the pages for characters to sign, keeping in mind that the non-"face" characters like Mickey might have a hard time seeing where to sign if it's a small space.

No matter which way you go, you'll have a great time!:yay: :yay:

the idea I believe I am going with is a 8x8 scrapbook and having them sign on page and on the other page having the picture of my daughter with that character. just was wondering how I should carry those 8x8 pages around... keep them in the book and pull one out when needed or???

I am also doing the 8x8 scrapbooks...

I thought it would be too much to carry 3 kids scrapbooks everywhere :scared: and have to open and close them each time might do some damage

so..what I am doing is taking cardstock for the characters to sign and then adding it to the books at home...or even back in the room if you wanted
:thumbsup2

I am taking a plastic coupon type file to hold all the cardstock and keep the signed seperated from the unsigned

How about this?

Buy a normal 6x4 photo album - there's loads of disney ones around. Then take a stack of 6x4 cardstock (blank or decorated) on a mini clipboard to the parks for the characters to sign.

When you get home insert the cardstock with the signature in the photo album with the related photo on the facing page.

Have a great trip!
