I'm looking for a fancy flashy souvenir Auto-Train ticket for my 3 year old (almost 4 on trip) -I don't want him to hold the real one on the day of the trip. Anyone want to try to make one?

He does well with one surprise at a time, so I would like to leave Disney out of it, then maybe give him a WDW Railroad ticket later (I haven't searched the board for one yet, but if you have one already...) Since the auto train doesn't arrive IN WDW, he'd pitch a fit that it didn't LITERALLY take us to the castle, you know?

I'm thinking something with a traditional ticket shape, a picture of the train (drawing or photo), departure (day, date, time) and arrival (day date time) station names (Lorton, VA and Stanford FL) - I'll use Word or Paint to put in the actual dates for safety reasons
His name- Noah Jordan

He has a few sight words, so a very simple, sans serif font will make it so he can find "train" and his name would be awesome.

If you can also make the return ticket, exactly the same, but with Stanford to Lorton, that would be great.

I want to put a map of the route, VA to FL with each state in between on the back. I'll probably cut out a real map, but if you have ideas for that too, I would love to see them.

Thanks in advance for any ideas. Noah LOVES LOVES LOVES train tickets. I know he will adore your creation. I'll have to print on card stock and laminate for sure.

We have taken the Auto Train about 6 times or so......

Here is a first attempt at the ticket. My airline and cruise tickets only have kid's first name. If you want last and like ticket just let me know!

I used the Arial font so all software should have it available and it is so easy to read...

RustManFan- Thanks! It looks GREAT! The map is just what I wanted. The only thing I would change is where it says Boarding Pass to "Ticket" instead. Don't worry about the last name. It's actually his middle name, which we often use since there are a few other Noah's at school.

Do you love the auto-train? Noah adores trains and DH hates planes, so we're trying it for the first time! I did overnight trains in Europe in high school and college and thought they were fun. This will be an adventure I'm sure!

Thanks again!

You mentioned you may want a "disney train ticket" for once you are there. You can find one that I made in my 4shared in the link in my signature, then look in the "coupons-tickets" file.

Thanks Dolly! After I wrote my post, I did a search and found your tickets. I'll probably be using quite a few. They are adorable!

We love the Auto Train! My sister won't fly so when she goes along it is always the train.....also twice when we had all our camping gear for FW.

We think food is really good....always have just gotten coach tickets but seats are very comfortable.

Be sure you bring along a pillow 'cause they only have those tiny little ones

I also have quite a few other tickets in my Tickets folder. Maybe Noah would like one for the Monorail?

They're perfect! Thanks so much!

I'll take a look at your other tickets over the weekend if the kids give me some computer time. It may take me until Monday when I am at work. I'm sure he would love a Monorail ticket. That, and a WDW Railroad ticket are on my list.

We actually were better off booking a family room since I have a will-be 18 month old. To big to share a coach seat, so it was cheaper to get 3 tix + a family room than 4 coach tix. We got an insane deal on the rooms- less than $200 since I booked at exactly 11mos. Very lucky.

Thanks again and I'll be in touch after I look at your other work!
