I hadn't seen this posted on the Transportation Board yet, so thought I would share.
The $29 Auto Train fares for children is back. If you have tickets to ride the Auto Train over the summer, you may want to give Amtrak a call to see if a discount can be applied to your reservation.

- Exclusively available at Amtrak.com.
- Valid for sale June 8 - July 10, 2015.
- Valid for travel June 22 - August 31, 2015.
- Blackout dates: July 2, 3 and 5, 2015
- Valid for one (1) special $29 child fare (age 2 - 12) with the purchase of one (1) regular (full) adult rail fare.
- Adult and child must travel together on the same itinerary and have tickets issued together.
- Advance reservations are required a minimum of fourteen (14) days prior to travel.
- Valid for travel on the Amtrak Auto Train service only.
- Seating is limited; seats may not be available on all days.
- Fares are subject to availability.
- Valid for Coach seats only; no sleeper upgrades permitted.
