Auto Train - $29 Childrens Summer Fares

I hadn't seen this posted on the Transportation Board yet, so thought I would share.

The $29 Auto Train fares for children is back. If you have tickets to ride the Auto Train over the summer, you may want to give Amtrak a call to see if a discount can be applied to your reservation.

• Exclusively available at Amtrak.com.
• Valid for sale June 8 - July 10, 2015.
• Valid for travel June 22 - August 31, 2015.
• Blackout dates: July 2, 3 and 5, 2015
• Valid for one (1) special $29 child fare (age 2 - 12) with the purchase of one (1) regular (full) adult rail fare.
• Adult and child must travel together on the same itinerary and have tickets issued together.
• Advance reservations are required a minimum of fourteen (14) days prior to travel.
• Valid for travel on the Amtrak Auto Train service only.
• Seating is limited; seats may not be available on all days.
• Fares are subject to availability.
• Valid for Coach seats only; no sleeper upgrades permitted.
• Not combinable with any other discount offer.
