Aussie Disneyland Planners come on in and lets plan together :)

I've just been on Ebay buying codes for cheaper tickets to Legoland and Universal Studios.
I got one for Legoland for $30 off adults and $20 off kids tickets (online purchase) and Universal $15 off per tickets (also online).
Pretty happy with my spending $2.50 USD and saving $125 USD on these tickets, especially as I thought that Legoland was pretty pricey at $65 per adult entry.

Glad I posted about our flights now, glad you now know as I didn't realize others were also flying direct from Melbourne.
You gotta go a day earlier, it's a sign you have to go earlier :thumbsup2

Glad to hear you got that all sorted melbarkwith, I can imagine how stressed I would have been, and you get an extra day too :cheer2:

On our first day we arrive at LAX at 4.30pm. I think we will just explore the hotel, grab some dinner and get an early night. I am pretty sure that the girls will not sleep much on the way over so they will be wrecked

Second day will be a Saturday and I think DL will probably be packed to the brim. The plan is to go shopping a bit, maybe check out the Disney Outlet store and/or the Garden Walk. If it's not too busy we might go into DL for a while, maybe watch the fireworks or something.

Day 3 we hit Disneyland with a vengeance............. and that is just the beginning :lmao:

sorry to hear about the flight troubles, I am sure it will all work out.

I just saved over $200 on our car hire, which is a real bonus. Virtually half the price of what it cost us to hire a car in QLD earlier in the year! :headache:

I like the going earlier part, as long as Hojo's have availability for the extra night. Fingers crossed, I'm going to call in the morning.

Just got our accommodation and flights sorted out.
Bummer that we have to leave a day earlier :cool1:

I'm so relieved, had nightmares that Hojo's wouldn't have availability etc. And now I can call for our PS ressies a day earlier

Hey what do others do on the first day?
Last time we arrived mid afternoon. The park was open really late because it was absolute peak season. We wandered into the park, and just kind of looked around all excited like :lovestruc
We rode quite a few rides that had shortish queues - BTMRR and Buzz (rode that heaps!! LOL) and Pirates I think, and Indy - and worked out the fastpass system. Had some dinner at a counter service place and just soaked up the atmosphere.

This year it's our Mr C's 10th birthday the day we arrrive. He really wants to see Hollywood - although it seems a bit boring to me but whaddeva, it's his birthday - so we will pick up the car and drive to Hollywood Boulevard so he can see the Walk of Fame and the sign. Then I'm making PS for Rainforest Cafe. DL closes at 8pm that night so we will go the next day.

Ms Shuttergirl, well done on getting all the PS you wanted. One more thing to tick off

Bec and Mel: phew! Lucky it was easily sorted, sounds like VA are very accommodating.

Yeah, my DH was really upset when we decided we *HAD* to go a day earlier, with us I had booked the previous nights accomodation so we could check in at 6am so my DH was sweating on us basically losing a whole nights accom, I still have to book another night now at the start but i'm sure I won't really have a problem there, we're staying at Portofino when we first get to Anaheim before we take off on our road trip.

Hey what do others do on the first day?

Last time we arrived at our hotel around 3pm. I had ordered groceries online, so someone had to wait for them. Mum and I headed down to 7-Eleven to grab drinks and snacks, while DH and the kids waited for the groceries.

After that we went into DL, walked over just as Parade of Dreams was beginning - just perfect :wizard: ,went on a couple of rides, the kids got the helium balloons they so desperately wanted and then had a late dinner at Denny's.

On our other 2 trips we arrived in LA around 6am, and both times went straight to Knott's Berry Farm. Of course, I was around 10 years younger then with no kids, so it was totally possible.

.

Well we arrive at 7.00am approx to LAX so we should be in Anaheim around 9.30 ish I'm guessing , we intend to dump the bags at the hotel , go do a bit of grocery shopping , head across to Downtown Disney , back to the hotel for a swim , check in and a couple of hours rest then go watch Fantasmic and the fireworks .

Then hit the sack !:yay:

I am awaiting confirmation for our flight changes and I am itching, he told us that for sure we were on the Sunday night flight but until I see the etickets myself I am a bit wary of getting tooooo excited :rolleyes1

I even rang them again this morning and the lady I spoke to said he had to contact V but that it would be ok, so where are my tickets???

Just getting antsy...

They told me it could be 48-72 hours, but I had them by lunchtime today. Hope you get your etickets soon.

I think i'm driving my workmates crazy with my countdown :rotfl:

I'm getting more and more excited everyday. How am I going to feel when I get there :cool1:
