Can I ask who you booked the convertible cadillac tour with? We are looking at doing something similiar. How much did it cost and how many passengers do you have? Also are you doing a set tour or do you get to choose where you want to go and see?

It's a 4 hour tour that you can request where you go and tailor to suit you. Seats upto 4 passengers (maybe 5?), price $325 US. Two times 9am & 2pm
You might of gathered by my other post, I hate group tours
I was impressed by the great reviews on both Tripadvisor and the booking site. Seems lots of Aussies do this tour.
I have requested we drive to Malibu, Venice beach, thinking of La Brea tar pits, and the regular sites.

We will also be doing the segway tour upto the Hollywood sign - Fell in love with segways when we did the tour at Disneyland (CAP) too much fun.

It's not as if they will sell out and as you can buy direct online and print the E ticket, it is something you can leave to the last minute. Unless of course you are totally organised and like everything done.
I think I will do it 3 weeks before

Oh, Czardas with AAA you can just join RACV for $24, it is a basic membership that still allows you to use all the AAA codes in the USA, but if you want to get a card before Sept need to apply now as it takes 4 or so weeks for them to send the card. The card also doesn't have an expiry date on it so you can basically keep it forever, in the US they only use it to id your membership they don't actually swipe it.

the weather in anaheim in september was excellent, t shirt and shorts by day then added a sweatshirt for some evenings.we swam everyday and will do this time round also,as we are staying at hojo.disneyland was not too crowded, just walked on to alot of rides, short queues at finding nemo,indiana,peter pan,autopia mostly.
we stayed at circus circus last time however this time we are staying at excaliburs in las vegas....
i am new to this 'thread board' thing so hope this makes sense, me and computers/technology dont get on too well.lol

aussietravellers, thanks for that info. I had a look at the Amazon stuff and came across the world roaming sim card, found one on Aussie ebay for $5 so have bought two. Here is the link for anyone wanting to know more:-

Just wanted to update on this. The sim cards arrived yesterday and having only had time for a quick scan through the paperwork, it seems they can be used in the Iphone, you just need to pop into the setting section and change one or two things, which even for me can't be too hard, haha.

Wish we could fit a trip in this year... sigh... we're not heading off until Sept/Oct next year.

In Las Vegas last year we stayed at Four Seasons (on top of Mandalay Bay.) Loved it. Next year MIL may be joining us, don't ask , so may end up at either Bellagio which fits 4 people, or try Marriot's Grand Chateau which is a new unit style time-share place 100 meters or so from mid strip. Rated in top 10 on trip advisor.

Let me know how you go swapping over the sim card (if you give it a trial run) as I have a iphone book at home and it says it's not so straight forward to take the sim out - or something like that.

The second half is how to put it into a different phone. How to put a sim card in the iphone is the same, in reverse.
