Aurora in her blue dress?

It's because their group princess artwork needs to be color balanced......

I wish they would have her out as Briar Rose.........

Oh, yes! Since they have Belle out in both, this would be awesome!!! Of course, then I would want to see Cinderella out in her little "uniform".

I heard that she doesn't wear her blue dress often because the kids mistake her for Cinderella....

That is true.

It's funny because when my DD wears her pink Cinderella dress, people always think it's an Aurora dress!

personally, i like her blue dress more. for the whole movie, she is in her blue dress. the only time shes in her pink one is when it switches on and off at the end.

I actually came across a pic from my first trip where my sister and I are with Aurora, and her dress is almost a greenish blue. I've never seen Sleeping Beauty, so I don't know if her dress ever looks like that or if it was possibly just something odd with the camera...

Entertainment needs to up its game, a quick viewing of recent pictures from Paris or Tokyo show that the WDW character experience is becoming very stale.

Agreed! It's the same old characters in the same old outfits. The other Disney parks seem to have up'd their game a few notches. WDW is the same EVERY year. Granted I love seeing the regulars, but new clothing would be good, new costumes for MNSSHP and MVMCP would be good as well, along with new characters, also bring out some old fav's on a REGULAR basis.

Come on WDW....I hope your listening.

Yes, I think this is it.
She traditionally wore blue because she is in blue most of the movie.
When they started combining princesses for merchandising, the group was very heavily blue, so I think they put Aurora in pink, since technically, her dress could be either.

Our first visit to the park, Aurora was in blue. However, the dress-up Aurora gowns that you could buy were pink. So little girls who dressed up like Aurora could not match her when she was in blue. For our second trip, My DD wore her pink Aurora dress to the CRT breakfast, and was thrilled to find out Aurora matched her that year, as she was now wearing pink, too.

I am just glad that I have pics of Aurora in both pink and blue.

:lmao:

My favorite part of "Sleeping Beauty" is when they try to make the cake and dress without magic. Of course, their giving up is what gets them all in trouble.

i like how merriweather is just standing all pissed off when she has the dress on.

Yes, yes, yes!!!!!!!! (I would love to see the blue dress, since it IS the color she's in the most.)

And then, why do they have Ariel greeting in aqua when she never wears a dress that color?

When I met Aurora at the Princess Breakfast in 2008, I asked her if she would prefer to wear her blue dress once in a while. She told me the faires change the color of her dress every day. Seems to me that Merrywether needs to brush up on her wand skills because Flora is getting in the last shot before Aurora goes out the door to ... make it PINK! :) Personally, I would love to see the blue dress.

Seems to me that maybe Aurora was playing fast and loose with the facts a bit there, in hopes you wouldn't be back the next day expecting to see her in her blue. I don't think that dress has been in the rotation for some time. My daughter wore a blue Aurora to breakfast once and after being called Cinderella all morning (by other patrons as well as CM's.......) she loved when Aurora came to our table and exclaimed "Merryweather would be so happy!". princess:

Well, Ariel really only has one ballgown in the movie. And that's pink, and Aurora has that color covered. I'm telling you, it's about color balance in the group shots!

FWIW........ I do like the green gown!

I think that if Cindy's dress was the real color (silver) then Aurora could be in bright blue and no one would get them confused? See, its all Cindy's fault...!!!:lmao: I'm also really glad that I got to meet Aurora in her beautiful blue dress many MANY years ago In EPCOT....:thumbsup2
