We are taking our 2 yr old to Aulani next month for the first time, this is our home resort. I have a few questions. 1) aunties house has a program @ 0830 for those under 3 yrs of age. What does it consist of? 2) we are going to cook in our villa most of the time - is it doable to all sit on our lanai to eat? 3) is the Disney photo pass worth it here? We always get it at the parks.4) is there a walkway to connect to the neighboring resorts?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

I stayed in a studio over the summer at Aulani(no kids). Here are answers to some of you questions:

1) If you go to the Aulani website and look under activities, it has info about the activities at Aunty's Beach House. You can also call the concierge and they should be able to give you more info. While you're on the website, look at the Daily 'Iwa. This comes our every day and lists the activities at the resort. If you decide not to put your child in Aunty's, there may be activities you would want them to do with the family.

2) You didn't say what size room you were staying in. I stayed in a studio and the lanai was small(from what I could see, they all appeared to be the same size). It had two chairs and a tiny table. I'm not sure if the lanai's at the 1 bedrooms or higher are any larger.

3) I didn't price the Photo Pass while I was here, but I used my camera to take all of my pictures with characters. I did the hula with Minnie and the Photo Pass photographer was there, but they also took the picture with my camera. I don't know that I would get Photo Pass here(I don't get it at WDW either) because I use my own camera and don't take enough pictures to justify the price. If you do the character breakfast, the photo package is $30. I did buy that as a momento of my trip.

4) There is a walkway on the beach that goes to the neighboring resorts.

Have fun. You're going to love Aulani!

We did end up buying the Photopass CD. The resort photographers caught a lot of pictures we couldn't - in the pool, on a paddle board, etc.

Sorry we are in a 1 bedroom ov. Because our daughter is only 2 she can't go to Aunties except early morning with us . So I just wanted to know what happens during that early morning entry. I couldn't open the link to the pic of the large balcony but happy to hear it is big

My ov 1-br had 2 of the smaller triangular balconies, 1 off the bedroom, and 1off the living room. They were separate, not connected.

Some rooms have the 2 smaller balconies connected to make 1 larger balcony.

The program at Aunties in the morning is an "Open House" from 8AM- 10AM. During this time, all ages can visit as long as they are accompanied by an adult and you really have free reign to do whatever you wish :thumbsup2 crafts, dress up, a movie room, some board games, etc. Have fun!

We went to the Open House several times. The backyard has a huge play structure and they usually had some balls and things out. There is a dress up area, books etc. They also have books and DVDs in the Community Hall you can sign out.

We never ate on our lanai it was not a full sized table but many days we left the patio doors open for the breeze.

Thanks everyone. One other question is with those refillable mugs can you get apple juice? So I can mix it with water for my 2yr old?

I don't remember seeing Apple juice, I think it was Powerade or Frutopia. I was just plan on hitting the grocery store.

We were there in March 2012. No apple juice, just lemonade. But there is a Target, Safeway and Costco about 5 minutes away.
