Aulani - with current incentives......

We ended up taking this deal as well. 300points, 3 payments, paying with Chase Sapphire for the 3x points (another ~$1,800 off), and renting out the first batch - never thought we'd actually purchase direct but here we are... 🙃
How long in total did they give you for the three payments? We also just bought at the end of November and I’ve only put down a small deposit. I was debating just paying like 30% now and doing the Disney financing till bonuses come in March (yes there will be a small amount of interest this way, but the short time frame makes it a fairly minimal number). But if I could split up the payments then that could be a better option.

I just bought direct and they are breaking into 3 payments... 1 at close, then 1 at 30 days, and then balance at 60 days.

Mine are three payments after the initial 10% + closing costs down payment each spaced another 30 days apart - so the last one is in late February for a late November purchase.

Our first contract, a CCV resale, closed 12/1 with deed recording on 12/2. My CM was able to speed up the new member process so the CCV points showed up online today. We added 300 direct Aulani points with member, military pricing (about $129pp). Happy to finally become members with CCV and AUL as our home resorts.

Tangential to this topic: how much would folks on here value subsidized Aulani contracts? What would be a good price per point for that, since I imagine it would be higher?

I just went under contract with a 350pt subsidized at $125 per point and I’m pretty happy with that deal. I saw a similar contact listed on the ROFR board here at $130.

$2.00+ per point on annual dues adds up to over $27,000 “saved” on the remaining life of my contract.

Great deal!

We are owners at Aulani, and very tempted to add on with this offer. However, I am a bit puzzled by the signature line for the new DVC head (from this weeks email on the RCI switch):

William C. “Bill” Diercksen
Senior Vice President & General Manager
Disney Vacation Club and Aulani

By comparison, Terri Schultz’s signature line did not separate out Aulani. Has Aulani always been separate (and it was’t in Terri’s portfolio), or is this “separation” new?

Terri A. Schultz
Senior Vice President
Disney Vacation Club, Guided Adventures & Expeditions and Golden Oak

So does Jambo and VGF. That signature is interesting. DVC & Aulani...

If he said DVC & Vero, I know what we'd all assume that meant.
My understanding - which could be wrong - is that because he's SVP & GM of DVC (which includes the DVC side of Aulani) *and* the SVP & GM of Aulani (hotel side).
VB and HHI do not have hotel sides. They are DVC only. And the WDW/DL hotels have SVP/GMs for their hotel side.

That is a good thought!

someone should give Len Testa and Jim Hill the heads up about this.
Analyzing an SVP’s email signature is certainly worth it’s own podcast episode. One can only imagine the “clicks” they’ll get with this one!

Naw, unreliable source. Needs to come from a WDW bus driver, or three guys overheard eating lunch, for it to be legit...
