Aulani - sorry another question from me!!

Thanks ever so much for all of your replies:thumbsup2

I think I'm going to try and book a cabana and the executive lanai for two days and then at least I have two days where we know we won't be stressed and can come and go as we please! The cabana will be great if the boys want to watch tv whilst I sunbathe and from what I can see, the executive lanai looks a nice spot to be to see the ocean - is that right?

Can I just ask a couple more questions (sorry;)) - do you pay a deposit to secure the reservation, pay in full or just give them a credit card and pay upon arrival?

We can't book Aulani until our 7 month window - will I have to wait until I have a reservation number before I can book the cabana etc?

Thank you so much, you've all been so helpful :thumbsup2

Yes. The Lanai over looks the lagoon.
When you reserve the cabana/lanai, you will not be charged anything. On the day of your reservation, you will go to the Rainbow Reef window before 10 am, and they will take the payment at that time.
You will need your reservation number in order to reserve them, so you will have to wait until you book.

Shame I'll have to wait until the 7 month window - I guess that will mean I'll miss out on the prime spots for the cabanas :wave2:

If they were not bothering you at all...why would it matter how many people were in and out of the cabana?
We found most people just minded their own business...thank goodness.
I am not sure if this is something they enforce considering our cabana attendants always knew the amount of people going in and out of the cabana, and even brought over additional deck chairs to the cabana without us asking for them.

Try to enjoy yourself. Personally, I wouldn't get hung up on something like that unless they were doing something that actually affected our stay...and that would apply if there were only two people in the cabana or ten.

That was what I meant. If there was a group of 10, but they were rotating out so there were always like 6 people, I wouldn't be bothered. But, it seems like 10 people all in there at once would be noisier than 6 (just observations of larger groups at restaurants and things- more people = more noise) and it looks to me like the cabanas are pretty close together, so having 4 extra people would impact my cabana enjoyment. If there were 10 people reading books- probably not, ha ha! So, it would depend on the situation. But, I would not expect there to be 10 people right next to me all day long, no. I'm not counting. But if it seems loud and like there is more traffic than there should be, I will speak up. The cabanas are too costly not to.
