DVC has posted the 2011 point charts for Aulani on their media site.

Aulani Point Charts

In the past, they have sometimes modified the charts after being released on this site - so until they are officially announced and posted it might be wise NOT to depend on this early release - but it does give a glimpse of what they will look like.

There is no difference in weekdays/weekends and points are offered for Standard View, Island/Garden View, Poolside/Garden View and Ocean View. Seasons are a little different than the WDW seasons but we still have Adventure, Choice, Magic and Premier Seasons.

Enjoy! :)

Adventure - 1/2 -2/26, 9/4 - 10/8

Choice - 5/6 - 6/26, 10/9 - 11/21, 11/27 - 12/22

Magic - 2/27 - 4-14, 6/27 - 9/3

Premier - 1/1, 4/15 - 5/5, 11/22 - 11/26, 12/23 - 12/31

Points per night - Studio SV/IV/PV/OV
Adventure - 18/19/23/25
Choice - 19/22/24/26
Magic - 22/24/26/29
Premier - 24/26/29/31

Points per night - 1BR SV/IV/PV/OV
Adventure - 36/37/44/46
Choice - 37/44/46/50
Magic - 44/46/50/58

Choice - 104/134
Magic - 122/159
Premier - 140/184

Not as bad as i had expected, however as the chart is now showing only point requirements for a week could this be the precursor to mandated weekly stays at all DVC properties as many have feared with the last two reallocations.

Can you take another look at it? It is showing pts per night and weekly, but all nights are same number of pts. .

Two things jump out at me:

1) No weekday/weekend differential. All days are the same.

2) Big jump in points between standard view and island garden view in choice season, but not in other seasons.

it is also showing that there will be a tax due from DVC members at check out based on number of points used for the stay and the amount of dues paid on those points.

That would be the Hawaii Occupancy Tax, charged to all guests of Hawaii timeshares. If I recall correctly from staying at Hilton and Marriott timeshares in Hawaii, it was annoying, but not all that much moneywise.

No big deal!! But I share your concern about DVC moving to weekly stays... would not like that at all!!

Years ago weekly or longer stays were very common for us and no big deal, but with the kids growing and staying on our pts for short stays we have had to alter our trips. We will either have add on or hope DVC doesnt require weekly stays as I think my kids would not be very happy if I refused to let them use the "family" points. Funny how when they all were small I could get away with the "family" points thing and they still remember rather well they are "family" points.

I sure hope they have lots of studios ...

EDITED TO ADD: Thanks for posting this, WebmasterDoc! Ya' done good!

Not as bad as I was thinking they could have been...

However you will never find me in a OV GV during Premiere Season! Yowzers 1288 points!

We've always stayed for 7 days so the weekly stay has not been an issue. However, we'd love to do a 10 day stay sometime in the next few years. If Disney changed it to a weekly stay, then we'd have to use 2 weeks worth of points for only a 10 day stay. I wouldn't be happy with that!!

I'm new to DVC so I'm a bit surprised by the mention of Disney enforcing weekly stays instead of letting people use the points as they want. Isn't that Disney's push for what separates them from the rest of the pack? The flexibility to use your points as desired and do several short stays a year if you'd like, long weekend getaways, etc?

I can't wait to stay there, I've looked at all the photos and videos I could find. The points might be a little high, but not too bad.

Already thinking about an OV 1 BD here!

Not as bad as I thought it would be. Plus I bet the pool view has a glimpse of the ocean for less points.
Maybe we'll go in a few years. Thankfully June doesn't look too bad for the kids summer break.

Thanks for posting this. This conferms what I thought. Way to many points per night. Double the amount for what I can get a studio for at my home if AKL. I had a feeling the points would be way to high for my tastes after seeing what they want for GCV. I will check out the resort when I cruise DCL to HI.

I don't think they can make a week stay a requirement at the existing resorts. There is aminimum they can enforce (3 or 5 nights?) if they choose to do so, but not a week. Aulani, however, would depend upon the POS for that resort. As we already see, there will be taxes due at check-in.

Thanks for posting the charts!

Not as bad as I had feared. Looks like I'll need to add on a few points or borrow a few to do things the way I want to.

Can't to wait for sales to start and find out the exact time it's going to open.

Thanks so much for posting, very exciting. I agree with most that the points aren't too bad and not as "expensive" as I thought. We are leaving next month for VGC and have 2 trips planned home for next year, so this will have to wait until 2012. However DS will graduate from HS that year and what a wonderful last family vacation it could be before he is off to college. Hopefully the point allocation will not change so much that we won't be able to do it.

They aren't as bad as I thought and DH and I would like to go there in 2012!

Does anyone know the room breakout- how many studios, 1 bdrms, etc. per view?
