Aulani Owners Thread - ALOHA!

I see folks discussing a lounge. I’m assuming it’s for cash guests or some specific level of room or is it open to anyone?

Thanks!
It’s really more of a sales center. My understanding is that they don’t want people who are not interested in buying points or learning about DVC to linger too long.

Kind of like The Golden Vine in DCA.

I think they were referencing the Luana Lounge I was complaining about, the one used for showers and changing.

@Steelers0854 here is a little blurb from the website about it.

Dang we were thinking of going July/August because of school but all these crowds I don’t know now…
When we went mid May it was perfection

If you stay away from characters you might be fine. But we did decide since we have the ability we might try another time of year. Also so we can see different things while there, like going whale watching

How’s the crowd at the lagoon?
How about ulu?
The lagoon actually felt less busy on the weekend than the weekdays. But it was still fine. The crowds were felt for characters and the lobby. Walking the walkways felt insanely crowded but again that was due to people in line for characters. We didn't go to ULU at prime times but when we did it didn't feel overly crowded.

I’m curious about this but also want to know what the chair hog/chair availability situation was like in late Aug.
There were no pool chairs after 8am until about 4pm-5pm. Beach chairs were not hard to get. Front row beach chairs were harder in the AM. My daughter was out at 8am and got one, she stood up and took 2 steps and lady plopped her stuff down without saying word so front beach is still hard id say. We had casabellas rented most of our stay though so it didn't effect us much at all.

I wonder if they would let people bring their own beach umbrellas…. we really need some sort of DIS Board owners locker….

I dont think you can use your own umbrellas at the lagoon for Aulani, although since it's public Im not sure how they can say no? I would be down for this if it is allowed.
