We went the first two weeks of June three years ago. We had wanted a 2BR and did not own there at the time, so at the 7-month window we were religated to two 1BR as all 2BR were gone. I personally didn't think the resort was packed. It was full (or so we were told) but we did not experience issues with finding a pool chair (I admittedly get up earlier than most-but didn't have issues during the day if we went to eat and came back) nor did we find any difficulty in doing anything we wanted to do except for trying to get into the Olelo room to sit down and eat. We were there for 10 days and were gone doing things on the island every other day, so maybe we were lucky.

Coming up soon on our 90 days. Has anyone been or booked recently and can comment on if the Casabella/Cabana situation has changed from a year ago?
My previous trip was last minute and I cold only snag a Casabella on the Maile Deck, we enjoyed it for the $110. I dont see that listed on the Aulani site so Im unsure if its an option anymore?
Is upper vs lower veranda worth the extra premium?
I saw the Executive Lanai last time and didn't think it seemed worth it.. thoughts?
Are the other Cabanas worth the price?

Our party will be 5 adults, 1 big kid and 1 baby staying in the GV if that makes a difference 🤣 Maybe being on the GV balcony is better than being in a cabana? HA!
I realize this is a little late; however, my 2 cents. When we went the Cabanas were quite a bit less than they are now. There were six of us, five adults (oldest daughter had just graduated high school) and a 9 year old. My parents were in their late 60s so we did the Cabana one day. Now, let me say it was extremely comfortable and a nice respite from the sun when we did the day-long pool day. However, at the price they are now, I think I would just come and go from that GV you've got reserved and forgo the Cabana. I thought they were borderline questionable at the price we paid, but now, I'm not so sure they're worth it. But it was really nice to have somewhere to duck into when you wanted to get out of the sun, and the service was fantastic. Our cast member was the best!

We decided to forgo the cabana, we did book some casabellas hoping that we will still find value in them even having the GV.
