Aulani in December

We are planning a trip to Aulani the first/second week of December. Is the resort decorated for Christmas at that time? Are there any holiday themed activities going on?

We'll be there the first week of December, too. I posted a similar thread a couple months ago with only a few responses about what is different approaching the Christmas season. Maybe there will be more traffic on your thread (or maybe there just isn't that much different other than the lobby decorations.) It is going to be a great time to visit, though!

Yep, we're scheduled for the first half of December as well. I am really hoping that we will all miss the Holiday crowds. Does anyone know when the local kids get out of school for vacation? Holiday decorations and lower crowds would be the perfect combo!

We'll be first timers December 1-8. Here's an email response I received after asking about Christmas decorations:

I'm happy to hear that you've already started to plan your vacation to visit us here on Oahu. As Christmas is still some time away, nothing official has been announced about the schedule of activies or when Aulani will be decorated.

Guests will definitely be able to celerbate the holidays with us, but keep in mind that our resort primarily emphasizes the island culture and traditions so we don't have as many decorations as our two mainland resorts, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World, do.

we will be there dec 5-10. I would love to meet any of you all willing to get together. We have 2 children, who I'm sure would love to make some new friends as well. They will be 4 and 7 at the time of our visit.

We are doing a split stay...at Aulani Dec 2-6, then hopping to the Big Island for 3 days then back Dec 9-13. Our kids are grown, and we are leaving them home!
