Aulani Escrow taking forever...is this normal?

We're past 30 days now and I want to buy an add on direct before the price goes up.

I can feel your pain (kind of!) We passed ROFR on our Aulani contract November 27th. We just received closing docs December 27th (the title agent doesn't email closing docs, but sends them FedEx...they were sent Dec. 21 but since Christmas and Boxing Day are holidays here in Canada we didn't receive until the 27th).

On top of that since we are in Canada, the Hawaiian government says we must get US consulate notarization for some of the closing docs. Luckily we are an hour from Toronto so we made an appointment for next Friday to get signatures and will courier back after that.

So once we send those back, we have fingers crossed it will be quick to close. But of course this all depends on how quickly the sellers send in their docs!

Has the title company or your broker given you any information?
