Aulani: A Disney Resort & Spa Trip Report Thread.

Thank you for this fantastic review. We have chosen Hawaii as our 2017 vacation in March of that year, so I am just beginning to research in earnest. A couple of months ago when I began, I didn't see much in the way of trip reports. What a wonderful surprise to begin searching again and find this here, and to see a familiar name from the cruise boards. Thank you again!

The Community Room: Please check here often, as again I found activities not listed in the Ewa were here for sign up. Which leads me to my next point SIGN UP EARLY – get your family on the list of activities as they go quick some include: Ukulele Playing, Lai Making, and Raft Racing!
Thanks for the tip! Are sign-ups only available on the day of the activity? Or can you sign up the day earlier?

Also, if the Daily Iwa doesn't say "Space is limited. Sign up required" for an activity, does that mean no sign-up is needed at all? I'm asking because I'm interested in the ukulele lessons, and it sounds like those are quite popular.

Hey! Thanks so much for reading :) cthe activities are for sign up that day only! The community room actives such as the ukulele lessons required a sign up so make sure you hustle down there when you wake up ASAP!

Thanks for sharing your awesome trip with us!! Can't wait to go there myself in June.

Thank you for your review :) We leave on Wed. Sooo excited! You mentioned blenders for Mai Tais. Where do you find these? I found a list of kitchen supplies but blender wasn't on there. Mahalo :)

I think I read on another post that you can request blenders for your room

Thanks for the great review! From what I have been reading the teen program is actually pretty well done (especially own high season when school is out). The Painted Sky Spa also has a free ice cream bar for the teens and computers and is also a place for just them to hang out not only a spa space..... I will have my own personal reviewer of that after July and plan to post somewhere on here her thoughts because details on this space seem to be very limited (especially if you have a teen with food allergies even when you call the info seems limited though very pleasant). It does look like the tweens in particular are the hardest to accommodate and I 100% agree with you that Aulani should take their cue from the cruises that have an older teen and younger teen/tween breakdown with space and programing. My almost 12 yo is already jealous of what teens activities she can't do but her 13 yo sister can (and personally would prefer my 13 be with like 14,13 and 12 not all age teens), hoping she finds a way to enjoy the kids club with her little sister (She's a good sport and has loved kids clubs in the past so fingers crossed there will be other older kids - based on the time we are going there should be)... sounds like they have a few tween events but not as much as the teen and kids events.

I just got an email from Aulani for 40% off a trip when booked next year - and I'm looking at my photos wondering...should I go back!?

If you're on the fence about booking please ask any questions here I will be MORE than happy to answer any questions comments or concerns you may have!

Does your offer apply to any room category or is it just the more expensive ones? I just got back and I am thinking about going for the third time, hope they send me one! LOL...

I have to be honest and thought, after reading a million posts and finally booking our April Aulani vaca today, "Do I really want to read another report?"

SO Glad I Did!! :) Detailed, informative and beautiful pix! I added a few things from your report to my spreadsheet! I was especially looking for Tween info and did read what you posted on several others. Glad APears commented, I'll have to look for these tween events
Thanks for taking the time!
