Only just seen this post! Sounds like you had a fun time! We left WDW on 28th, and it was very hot! Like you say, not for the faint hearted! Was it you who said you always wear jeans in the parks? Please tell me the shorts came out for this trip?

Yep that was me. The jeans stayed on. I am set in my ways even if it means suffering. I briefly considered water wicking yoga pants.. but still went with jeans.

I tried to wear denim shorts one day in August. Nope. Way too hot.

The first picture is the great egret who begs for popcorn in Frontierland in MK. The second is a white ibis, begging for any food at OKW. The picture doesn't show it well, but that one has a long bill, kind of curved downward. If you see one with brown on it, that's a juvenile-the more brown just means that they're younger.

The ones we usually see at BW look like the 1st one.

Reading Aulani posts makes me realize that if we ever decide to go someday, I'm going to have to do a LOT of research beforehand.

I do think Aulani takes a lot of research, and booking things there is so different than booking things at the parks. And just when you think you learned it all, they change the booking guidelines.
