Because we got in so late the night before, we didn't set the alarm for this morning. Instead,we awoke around 8:00, and I ran to the food court to grab some resort mugs and fill them with coffee and juice (long live the female "mug men") and went to Ol' Man Island for a swim and a hot tub. Then we had a quick breakfast in the room, and got dressed. We made it to MK by 10:30, so we weren't doing too bad. On the way, the driver told us to say good-bye to long lines. He was right. We also hadn't had to wait for him. He pulled in as we arrived at the bus stop.

We started in Tomorrowland. SM was a 20 minute wait, TTA was a walk-on, as always, and we got fast passes for Buzz (for 30 minutes later. Just enough time to do some shopping and grab refreshments). TimeKeeper and COP were both closed, so we headed over to Adventureland - Arrr! Am I the only one who thinks we need a pirate smiley? Maybe with an eyepatch? Anyway, we strolled on to the Jungle Cruise, and breezed into POTC. Then we headed into the Tiki Room for some relaxation. The Pirates side of the restaurant was closed, so we nipped into Pecos' Bills for some lunch. We had just enough time to do a bit of shopping when the skies opened up. I thought longingly of our ponchos, back in POR 1848. Doh!

We were wet anyway, so we thought about going on Splash. And then we heard a very loud KRACK! and realized that that wasn't going to happen. DS suggested that we go to HM. How perfect for a thunderstorm, and off we went. Oddly, the line up was full of people who weren't going on the ride. They were just standing under the canopy. We made it around them, and into the line (20 people, wow). However, during the ride, we realized that being soaked to the skin and air conditioning don't mix. Also, we had a PS for 'Ohana at 6, and it was 3 now, and we were cold and wet.

We headed back to the room, dried off, changed and packed the ponchos (and didn't leave POR without them after this). Back to MK, where we jumped on the monorail to the Poly. And then, dinner, far too much dinner, but very tasty dinner. This time, they were "previewing" pulled pork, as well as their normal dishes. It was very good. Too good. I think, they're trying to kill us. :jester:

From there, we took the bus to DTD, and did a short shop before jumping on the boat back to the room. There, we changed, and headed off for a soak in the hot tub.

Next - Day 2 - In which we see Illuminations from the water.

Thanks for the report - can you tell us which dates you were there? Maybe I missed it somewhere.

Sorry, August 24 - September 1. Inside of your car hot, but not crowded.
