August / September - But only w/ free dining...

If they offer free dining we will do what we did last year and check in on the last day and stay through the first week of October. If they don't we'll go later in Oct.

I think they told us the last check in date was Sept 29th, but you have to be onsite right now and book before 10 pm tonight to get the free dining. I have no idea if they are going to extend the sign up at a later date. The lady I spoke with at the Beach club cruise desk said they were really surprised by the way the world had spread with little marketing on Disney's part.

Does anyone remember the date that it started last year? We took advantage of it from August 24 through the 30th. It was glorious. Hoping that it is offered again... otherwise we might be going to Maine instead.

We will go at the end of August if there is free DDP, if not...we'll shoot for sometime over the Christmas break (which is sooooo far away!).

We are really hoping for the free dining. If they haven't offered it by April (which was when we got it last year) then we will start re-thinking things.

But we really plan on going around Aug 20-30 as of now.

Loved the free dining, really crossing our fingers for it again!:thumbsup2

For the UK/European residents offer, the free dining promotion was as follows: "Book between August 25 and November 6, 2006 for arrivals between August 12 and September 29, 2007..."

Otherwise, Christmas is more likely (due to dh's forced vacation time from work  ), or maybe it's time to try somewhere else for a change.

Keeping our fingers crossed!

That's correct !!

We are in the CBR from 20-Aug for two weeks and we have the free DDP. :cool1:

Our trip is already planned with the dining plan for Aug 22-28. We're going no matter what, but free dining would give us a lot more options and spending money for the kids!

We're going the last week in August, no matter what! Beach club here we come!!!:cool1: I really do hope they offer the free dining as it gives us extra cash, and who doesn't like that?!

I really think they will offer it to the general public. The master marketing machine is just stirring up hype and making people think they could MISS OUT:scared1: on free DDP if they don't sign up RIGHT NOW! Brilliant plan that is obviously working pretty well...but I really do believe (fingers crossed!) that free dining will be available to the general public in April, as it was last year!pixiedust:

We have a reservation for August 5-15th with free dinning, currently we are planning on taking DNiece, DNephew along with our DD but I would really like to wait until December to celebrate DH finishing his Masters. I think we will probably stick with August because we want to be in Florida at least 30days (flying from Japan) and DD would miss to much school in December.

We went last August, ONLY because of the free dining. I am warning DH that if it is offered again, how could we not? Seriously, with 4 children, it feels like a free vacation, but without the free dining, we won't be going.

Exactly--how could we not? We enjoyed free dining (and the couple of cruises we've been on) so much, and we keep saying we should try something different, so I did a quick check on pricing for all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean. About $5,000 for our family of 4 for 1 week, compared to about $3,000 for WDW for 2 weeks. And that's not even counting air fare. It's truly a no-brainer for us. With 4 kids, your rooms are not only free, they're practically paying you to stay there, right? (At least, if you use Disney math :teacher: ).

Well I figure I will wait till April and if there is no free dining I think we will stay offsite and try the other parks in the area. US and IOA have a combo ticket for the week for $85.00.

I would love to do Disney again but budget is a big issue this year (we bought a new house)

So here's hoping!!!!

True! I booked through the bounce back program when I was there Dec 9th-17th. The CM at PORS said they were really surprised at the number of people who knew about it and especially at the number of people who came down to WDW in Dec for just a one night stay just to book the free dining. He said that Disney had planned to severely limit the number of pkgs availabe for free dining for 2007. I told him I wanted the last possible week of free dining and he booked me for Sept 29th-Oct 7th, saying that as long as we checked in by Sept 29th we'd have free dining for the whole trip. Sure enough, I got our paperwork just a few days after I got home and free dining is listed for eight nights.

As far as the OP's ?: we were planning to go back in late Sept anyway, free dining or not.

We booked two trips for free dining durning our Christmas trip.
Aug 10-20 and Sept 28-Oct. 8.
We went last Aug. and loved the free dining.
We spent $8 on food for the whole trip.
I hope they continue this for years to come!

We are booked at the Pop Sept. 28th-Oct 3rd. If free dining comes out we will add 3 nights to our trip. I am hoping and praying for free dining!!!!!!!!!

We are planning to go in August no matter what, but of course we are hoping for Free Dining! We do have the Disney Visa and we're hoping they will at least offer it for cardholders :goodvibes . Either way we'll be staying at a value (hopefully POP depending on availability come April or whenever we know something).
In the meantime, I'm stashing away Disney Dollars for food just in case and if Free Dining is available, then it will just be extra pocket money for all the things I convinced myself not to buy last year when I was there. ;)
