I figured I'd start a new thread for this one since it was getting burried up in the others.

Let's call this tentative for now, but if the information is correct, it would certainly bridge the gap for those going in late-August.

Room only discount for travel dates between August 15 and September 28 with some exclusions (such as LM rooms).

This could be available for booking around the same time as the free dining promotion begins (May 9), or shortly there-after.

So guys, it looks like you late-August folks will get someting after all. This looks to be a continuation of the spring and summer discounts of course.

We booked the bounceback last year so we're set with free dining but now my friend wants to come. She can only do it with some type of discount so we have to figure out what we'll do. We're considering switching resorts or going off site but I really don't want to give up my free dining. We can only go in August so I feel like this might be our last chance to have it.

Yeah, and also if your dates don't all fall in the promotion dates, you just get discounts on the dates that do. This is unlike the free dining where you must check in on a date it's offered. Although, this is more/less a continuation of the current summer offer, so there really wouldn't be an issue of "checking in before the promo began".

I'm a little confused by some of the posts on this thread, as when I booked last week I was told that by checking in on Aug 14, I got the discounted rate for my whole stay. My rate is higher because my kids are both adults now, but it still seems too high. He tried to sell me tickets and dining packages, which I declined, but I am beginning to wonder if I did in fact get the best discount. I have to go back and do some math!

That shouldn't be correct. Even if he said that, it doesn't mean the computer did it. Check on it and let us know.

Of course once the next promo kicks in, it will be a moot point anyway...but you do want to make sure you get all the discounts that you're due.

That doesn't sound right to me. I check in on August 13th and when they applied the discount it was definitely only for the 13th and 14th. I was told that if the discount gets extended, I should call back so they can adjust the rest of the dates.

Yeah, he was wrong. My deposit for the Beach Club pool view (4 adults) was $359.44, but the other 3 nights are higher. I guess I will call back once new discounts come out. It's been several years since we have been to Disney and I forget some things. It's a pain that the youngest is now 18 too!

It's too bad the phone CM's don't know the correct facts!

If you check in on the last day of a FD promo you can have the discount applied to your entire stay, up to 14 nights. That only applies to FD discounts, room only discounts are only good for the specific dates listed in the promo.

Poly is a 30% discount. Does that sound good?
