We are going in August and we have always gone in the spring before. I know it is very hot and humid. I am wondering how it is in the evening hours. Does it cool down later in the day? Is it enjoyable after dark? I am hoping that some part of the day will be a relief from the heat. Anyone have any comments or hints??

It "cools down" compared to the day, but you're still going to be wearing shorts and tank tops. I like it because I like to be able to swim at night and not be freezing. To me the evenings are perfect: warm but without the sun you are comfortable and not sweating. (Now some people who do not like the heat might say it is still too hot.... I happen to love the warm weather.)

We love going in August.

I agree. We were in Disney for a week last August (and will be again this August for our wedding and honeymoon) and it was hot! The days were extremely hot (the kind of hot that at 9am the sun is beating on your shoulders and just standing still makes you sweat) but my fiance and I love the heat so we have a tolerance for it. The night time is better, but by no means cool. It simply is more bearable than the day. But the previous poster is right....its better than the day :) The way i look at it...its Disney and no matter how hot it is..I would rather be hot in disney than hot anywhere else!!!

Have a terrific vacation!!!! :cool1: :sunny:

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping it cooled down once it got dark but it sounds like it is still quite hot. I guess we will just have to take it slow--since we have never been there at that time of year, I can't imagine the kind of heat you are talking about. We find it warm in March!!

DH and I went last August, it was HOT, HOT, HOT, especially when you are in the direct sunlight! We are taking our girls this August ... I keep warning them about the "heat and humidity that they've NEVER experienced before". I'll take Florida in August ANYTIME over, well, any day in NJ!!! :goodvibes :thumbsup2 :goodvibes
