August Exercise Challenge! Please Post your Final total!

I did 65 minutes yesterday and I've just done 100 minutes of walking, so that now puts me over my goal! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I am now at 1080 :flower: I guess that I'll just keep going and see how much more I can do before the end of the month!
 
Wow congrats Catherine!! Made goal - impressive.

I did an hour today - 40 minutes on weight training, 20 on cardio, man, first time at the gym all summer and it about killed me! Mainly all I've done for several months is run. Really need to work the other stuff in as well.

anyhow, my total is now 600/1000
 
40 minute bike ride so that gets me to

(835/1000)

hoping to get up and moving in the morning for a tmill experience of say like "60 minutes" - we'll see, but if I plant that thought tonight, it just might stay close to the memory surface and be just what I need to get up and get it done!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

As for me, I've been debating about whether to count 6-1/2 hours at Great America Tues as ANYTHING, but decided to count 20 mins. :confused3 Is that fair? :confused: I just feel weird about counting 'everyday activity' (not 'everyday', but you know what I mean) as opposed to dedicated exercise time. Oh well, it's counted. :rolleyes: And today I did 30 mins of 'dedicated' exercise, so I'm at 264/500, and made 1/2 way. :blush: I'm just shameful aren't I? :guilty: Thurs we're going to Kiddieland, another day of a lot of walking, and I'll be facing this dilemma again. :scratchin :sad2: Any opinions???? :confused3

kimraye -- i understand what you're saying. i think if you spend ALL day walking that counts for something. you've definately burned calories. i had that same dilemma on a smaller scale with my evening bike rides with DD and walks with my neighbor two nights a week. I'm comfortable claiming 1/3 of the time -- i think whatever percentage/ratio you feel comfortable with is good. you'll be much harder on yourself than anyone of us will be :rolleyes:

last night I took a walk with my neighbor, i claim 15 mins of that and this morning I did 3 mile WATP bringing me to 920/1500. :flower:
 
Kim - I think you need to do what works for you. Maybe you could think back about how long you really walked during that day trip. Just a thought! :)
 
KimRaye, when I went to Cedar Point I counted 60 minutes of walking. You are basically on your feet all day, lots of it is standing in line though. We were there from 10am until 8pm, so I think 60 minutes was a fair amount to count...

I am now at 595/1100, more than halfway there!!! :banana: :cheer2: :banana: :cheer2:
 
had that date with my tm this morning for 60 minutes - may bike ride tonight not confirmed yet

Thanks everyone for your opinions. I guess the 20 mins I claimed is ok, I surely walked longer than that. ;) I'm not claiming anything for Kiddieland today tho. It's a much smaller park, even tho you walk it back and forth 5-6-7 times, but most of the time it's standing, and watching the kids on the rides. Just short walks/steps between each ride. 10 hrs of it today! :rolleyes: It was fun tho. :goodvibes

I reached goal today 1000/1000. NOw to add to it while I am at Disney. I leave in the morning.
