GOAL for August! and I must say "thanks" to all of you on this thread ~ I just was feeling "leg heavy" today and told myself that I didn't really need to get my 6 miles in - 3 or 4 was okay and then I stopped that nonsense and said "all those other guys in the August challenge are working their little tutu's off" so get with it. I just finished 6 miles (90 min) and 10 for stretching = 100 minutes

Grand total to date

1025/1000


YEAH - I am so glad I have been a part of this thread :teeth: No letting up on this for me - we're cruising in November and I am working toward a weight goal - so I am going to keep on keeping on :banana: :banana:
 
oh my! my gluts!!

i'm in from a 8.5 mile walk/jog combo (jogged 2 miles total) and then stretched for 10 mins b/c my hammies and gluts were sooooo tight. i knew it was in for it the first few steps, especially those jogging, i guess my toning work did something this week!

off to walk the mall with DD and friend this afternoon :) but that's fun -- for today i'm very glad to report in at 1110/1500

cyber high five mom for making your goal -- no slacking this week! :teeth:
 
35 minute run today and yesterday, puts my total at 670/1000. Getting there! :banana:

Hi gang! Wow! Everyone is doing so well...I really need to get my butt in gear!!! I have 420 / 1000. It might actually be 60 minutes more, but I can't rememeber if I added the other 60 or not. So I'll leave it like it is!!

What is this exercise challenge and do you do it every month? Would like to jump on the band wagon-can use a chance to tone and loose 10-15 pounds.
Can someone explain? thanks

It seems to have been a monthly thing for as long as I remember, and I've been on the WISH board over 18 mos. now. Don't remember when I first joined a monthly challenge, but I think I hosted/started 2 of them so far. All you need to do to join, is decide for yourself/publicly commit to how many minutes of exercise you can/will/think you'll do each month, and post your ongoing results and activity. We're here for SUPPORT and ENCOURAGEMENT, NEVER criticism. ;) Whether your goal is 200 or 2,000 minutes, we're here to chart and encourage! :cheer2: Everyone is different, their diet, their exercise, their need, etc., so that's why you see such varied goals. As for me, I've been maintaining since Dec., so my exercise goals have lessened from my weight-loss days, but still, exercise is essential to any loss or maintenance plan, so we're ALL together on that point!
