August 9, 2011 (8/9/2011) Taking the Wonder to see the AMERICAN CHILD

:confused3 I have to break the sing a long chain since I don't know the song. :sad1:

For those that are going back to the airport after the cruise, how are you getting there :confused3 ? This is the one thing I hadn't thought about until yesterday.

I have been looking at that too. I was looking at the skytrain website. The stop looks to be 2 blocks from the port. Someone on another site said it was 3 blocks. Dose anyone have any info on this? Or should we just look into a van?

Since we have an 11:20 flight, I figured on grabbing a cab once we clear. Are there other options?

I'm sure DCL has a transfer option but I haven't priced it out yet.

We did the transfer and hotel package with DCL for before the cruise and back to the airport afterwards. I'm pretty sure it was the same for transportation as FL - around $35.00 pp each way. Expensive , but a no-brainer for us!:rolleyes1

i believe dcl transfer is $49pp round trip, but if you just want one way (from port to airport or vise versa?) it's $25pp. that's what they told me when i called. still trying to figure out that detail. i did come across aerocar service. not sure if it's been mentioned here or not. probably!! but the price seems reasonable, since there will be 4 of us. anyone have any info on this? pros...cons...? :flower:

getting from cruise to airport.. other thread said..

It's really up to the personality of the people in your group. I enjoyed a bit of adventure dragging my luggage a block through Vancouver to the Skytrain station entrance, and as we approached the airport a lot more people with luggage got on the train.

I don't know about going from the airport to the port, but onboard Disney was offering a ride to the airport for $25. Walking through the port terminal I saw people with signs advertising a ride for $14, and the Skytrain was $3.75 CAD per adult - $2.50 for the 9 year old.

You will save a lot of money pulling suitcases from the train station to the port, and you can stop in front of the port building to take a picture of the bow of the Wonder before boarding.
