not sure about you, but I am getting tired of those who keep putting down the dcl cruise to alaska.

Great pic Ed. I'd post that on the DCL AK bashers thread, sorry had to put that. Being I've never been to AK or anywhere that has glaciers I'll be happy for what I CAN see and not be upset for what I CAN'T see.

That is a beautiful picture, Ed! Like Barb said, I'm just very excited to be finally going on a cruise to Alaska! I am sad that we aren't going to Sitka though, my sister lives there.

I just checked, Its a couple degrees warmer in Juneau,AK that it is at my house right now

It's 25 here and that's not taking into account the wind chill which makes it about 14 or so. I bet Juneau is also warmer than we are.

While its cold here in CT

This may help warm us up a little

Just saw the magic pass the twim plams cam

Since it was only about 38 with rain, snow and sleet in the Orlando area, as well at the port area, this doesn't warm me up at all. Tonights low down there us supposed to be 28 and tomorrow night is supposed to be even colder.
We head down on Wed. and leave Thurs. on the Wonder so I've been following the weather closely. Not to mention, we don't want our pipes freezing in the house, but my brother left the heat on 52 so we should be fine.

We are only going to very cool Nassau and very cool Castaway Cay, so it's more west than much further south.

Still a vacation be it cold or not is still better than being stuck at work
And being on ship is bound to be more fun than shoveling snow

So true Ed. Now we've got another little bump in the road, have to take DD to the ortho in the morning since her foot has been swollen since the end of last week. The athletic trainer at her school thinks it might a tendon or ligiment injury. I already told her I'm not pushing her in a wheelchair at the parks or on the ship.

No fun, hope it turns out nothing bad.

Thanks Ed. Turns out it's not too bad, it's fibural tendonitis. She has to basically rest it for the next 4 weeks, no running, excessive walking and such. He does know we are cruising and going to WDW this weekend and told her to not overdo it and to rest it every so often. So she'll be ok.

Good news, will make the going a little slower, but at least she will be able to get around without much problems.
