Hi Everyone!

Just wondering if anyone on this board going on the Aug. 9th - Wonder cruise? This will be our first and it would be nice to see som DISers there!

Love to hear from ya!

Hooray! We have been waiting to see others cruising with us! We thought we were going to have a private sailing! :rotfl: Some of us girls who work together are going! We decided to leave our husbands and children home. Exciting but will miss them much! :cool1: We are so excited! :dance3:

One friend of mine has cruised Disney 5 or 6 times. The other has been on two cruise but none Disney and I have been on one cruise but not Disney. I am excited to see some of the "Disney Magic" and of course to meet Jack Sparrow!

It is going to be very exciting and probably one of your best vacations ever!:woohoo: :woohoo: This will be my second cruise but my first on Disney and a friend I am going with has promised me it will be even better than my first!  I think she has cruised four times in the past with Disney!
Not much longer now!! :dance3:

You got that right! Hopefully I will see you there. Now if I can only get grumpy (my husband) to get into the spirit! Maybe when time get closer he will! No matter what I am going to have some fun! Since you all are going without the kids, How did you guys pull that off? My kids would not let me do that!

Out of us three that are going I am the only one with children. Mine are 5 and 6 and I have tried to not talk about it to much at home!;) I am in nursing school and my husband thought I should go with the "girls" and take a break for a week! I usually don't go anywhere with out the children or my book bag! :rotfl: I should graduate in a year and a half and we are all going to do the week long as a family!
If your husband doesn't get in the mood before you arrive at the terminal I bet he will when he see's the huge ship in person. I was excited my first cruise but even after looking at all the pictures on the internet I was not prepared for the sight I saw in person. It will be wonderful! :cool1:

Congrats on Nursing School! How exciting! Every mother/wife deserves a girls weekend! I need one bad! I am planning a trip with the girlfriends next year. My youngest is two and I think next year(She will be 3) will be fine to go away without her or the other three kids. My hubby is always a grump. We spent 4 days at disney last week and all he did was complain. I ignored him. His main worry about this trip is 1. Is it to much money? 2. Is he going to be sick? I told him don't worry about it. He will have a good time.

Can he ride the rides at Disney without getting sick? Usually that is a good indicator on how he will handle the ship. Unless for some odd reason the seas's are real rough he won't even be able to feel it. I took Bonine on my first trip but never had to use it! :dance3: My husband is the same way when it comes to planning our family trip. "will it be to much money" I said just book it.. it will always seem like a lot but once you get on that first cruise you will realize it is way worth the money you spend! :woohoo:

I agree with the money thing. But living with a scrooge, its hard to explain. He can rides most of the rides at disney but the coasters and mission apsce he feels a litle nauseous(sp). I am going to try Bonine. I heard there was less side effects then the patch. I normally don't get sick but I want o be safe than sorry. I have built this trip up to be the best trip. I just don't want anything to happen that will ruin it. Are you staying anywhere the day before the cruise? Is there a good hotel around there? We are coming in the day before to make sure that nothing goes wronng (i.e flat tire, car breaking down). I love your picture of the life boat drill. You look sooo happy! Must be that Disney magic!

My first and so far only cruise was on Royal Carribean. They also leave out of Port Canavaral and we stayed at the Raddison. Very nice and convenant. Not sure how affordable b/c at the time we got AAA discount. The good thing was if you stay there, they will let you keep your car at the hotel and they will take you to the cruise and pick you up when you get back. That saves you the per day charge the port charges to park you car there. :goodvibes

This time we are coming down two days in advance and we are staying at Disney and doing Epcott one day before the cruise. Again we got a discount and are staying in a moderate hotel so we got a good rate..

Are you children excited about the cruise?

We went to Disney last week. I had to go to a funeral and since I was down there we stopped by for my two year olds birthday. It was hot and it cost us a lot of money for three days. We stayed at the Pop Century. I like the hotel but it was far from everything even though it was a disney hotel. The buses werent running as often as the other resorts were so the lines were long. Since we were there we don't plan on returning when we go on DCL.

As for my kids, I am not sure. If they are they really are not showing it. I think I am the only one excited about going. I think the closer the date the more excited they will be.

I loved Epcott. Not to many people do. It was not crowded at all. We were able to ride most rides without waiting to long. This was the first time we went on the Nemo ride and my two year old loved it. We rode that one twice.

I am going to look into the raddison. Its a nice hotel. Do they take you to the ship early?

Did you take your kids on R/C cruise?

Thanks for all your help.

The Radisson got us to the ship about 10:45 and were were able to go in the terminal. We were on the actual ship at 11:00 without any wait time and before any real crowds arrived! I was a little worried about them picking us up but they were at the port waiting on us when we got off the boat! :cool1:

It worked very well! I did not take my children on that cruise. It was my first cruise and the first vacation away from home without my family. My husband kept the children which was a miracle but he normally doesn't like to keep them to long without complaing! :rotfl: I went with other family members that time. This time my friend asked me to go and I told her I would mention it to my husband but I really didn't think he would want me to go again alone and I wasn't counting on it.:confused3 When he told me " sure. book it. you deserve it" I thought I was going to fall on the floor! :rotfl:
I have been trying to get my husband to book us a family trip for the past year and a half so he probably told me yes to get me off his back!
Well this time he promised when I graduate nursing school we will book a "family" cruise for the four of us.. I plan on checking out the children areas when I get on the DCL this time!

Hi guys-
I just wanted to check in and say Hi! We're also on the 8/9 Wonder. It will be me, DH and our DDs aged 4 and 6. We're doing 3 nights on DCL and then 3 nights at WDW. This is our 2nd Disney cruise and we're really looking forward to it. I'm glad to see we won't be on the boat alone. Hopefully a few more Disers will check in too.

Only 27 more days!
Leslie

Welcome Leslie! This is great. I was hoping more DISers will be on the ship. Does everyone have there door signs? I can't wait til we are cruising.

Just thought I'd bump this back up since we've fallen to page 3!! Maybe someone else will see it and say "Hi." The boat looks sold out, so there's got to be more Disers than just us three!

A repeat Disney cruise going with us just mentioned the signs two weeks ago. I found that thread with ideas and thought it was pretty cool. We went to the craft store and got some cute stuff for our door! I am excited about it b/c I have never seen this done before! :dance3:

I have a cool looking door sign too. I think we may went on the same thread abou the door signs. I will be walking around looking. I can't imagine only afew people from this sight going since leslie said that the cruise is full. It will be interesting to see who else from this sight show up. Make sure you write a trip report. I love reading them. I am not that good of a writer but I am going to try. I am going to the space launch on the 7th so i will have plenty to write about.
