We're packed did the formal and semi-formals, shoes, sunscreen, sea bands, snacks, loading of the nds, e-book, packing the 1 $ bills for roomservice, the hamper for laundry, over the door shoe hangers for the small items, three girls in one room so lots of those, the suck-up extra wall pins for the lanyards and bikini's etc etc. Even managed to get part of the FEE presents done... Three suitcases of 138 lbs each are standing in our hall and we each have a carry-on....

Yesterday we asked our TA about an upgrade to a verandah, did not get a reply yet, but perhaps we are changing our room, if so I will let you know.

I'm also getting pretty much butterflies in my belly when I think that it is only 5 nights till we live for Barca and only 6 nights before we are sailing

Thanks for posting your pack list. I have never thought of the suction cups for the lanyards etc. ,those will come in handy.

Oh and I hope you mean three suitcases of 38 lbs each

4 more days till Barcelona bound!! So excited, but feeling overwhelmed. There is so much yet to do!!

Yeah! We are almost there. Just packing the last items. Juicing up the Nintendo DS's, eye patches, blankets, sandwiches, medicines. Then, we load up the cars.

Thanks for the information on the formal and semi formal nights. I have enough for 2 semi formal and 1 formal. I have some mix and match stuff that will work out for that extra semi-formal. If not, I will rewash my semi-formal outfit and wear that one.

I think I'll just bring 3 dresses and wear the same one to Palo and a semi formal night. Hopefully I don't spill on it

Good luck on the upgrade! I will update the FE spreadsheet if you do change rooms, just let me know on here if it is before Wednesday. If after, you will need to give me a heads up on board. I will probably slip the spreadsheet with map under everyone's door when I pass out our FE gifts on the first sea day so everyone has updated info. I don't know how I am going to sleep these next few nights!!

Thanks everyone for the reassuring words! Well now I have a couple of magnets courtesy of the very generous Jordak And I am on the case with getting a fish extender! Laundry is in progress and list too, I will get the bags out tomorrow and start to lay out piles of stuff.

I spent a few days in London last week where I met friends, my friend had a spanish friend visiting, she warned that it is really HOT in Barcelona at the moment, so be prepared.

doc visit, check. got seasick patch - got ds checked out, all is well there, as with dd - who since we got home from the doc, now says she doesn't feel good (it really is for attention tho)

sigh, TA tells no upgrades available, don't want to beg for at the pier at 9.30 am, we probably will shop some chocolate, cava,water bottles, and rum on sat morning and take a cab around 0100 pm so we can go straight to our room, change in bathing suits/shorts meet our room attendent and party!!!

Done with shopping and packing, just bought a new e-reader dd14 did put her knee on the screen(I left it on the couch with a scarf on top of it) and screen was broken . Can't travel without books and an e-reader is a saver..

Still 2 days of working to go, then relaxzzzzzz..., fly on Fridaynight....

That's great news. My DD is doing the same thing. She is afraid to fly. I think that she just wants to be on the cruiseship right now.

I heard that DCL does have some upgrades and there maybe more. Apparently, the airport controller strike in Barcelona and France are affecting a lot of air travelers.

I know the feeling. I still have to work. Contemplating whether to bring my laptop.... Got to kill some time waiting for a flight. However, my husband told me that in International travel, the security guards have a right to confiscate the laptop and I may get it back in 8 weeks. Has anyone heard of that?

We fly on the 5th I hope they continue to not strike on that day.

I inquired if there would be a problem with my laptop and my phone back into customs.

I just spoke to the Department of Homeland Security and they informed me that I need to fill out a Form 4457 (Certificate of Registration for Personal Effects Taken Abroad). This form can be found on www.cbp.gov. Then, click on Forms. Scroll down to 4457. The lady who was really nice told me to have someone at the port or at the airport inspect it and sign off on it before I leave.

Apparently, the customs have every right to confiscate the laptop and phone if they decide.
