I was surprised to not see a thread for this cruise.
Am I the only one picking this cruise? :)

I missed the Med the 1st time around but don't want to miss it this time.

Who is with me?

If we book one with DCL, this is probably the one we will book. If we decide to do the Baltics, we will probably go with another cruiseline.

I'm very intrigued by the port stops in Tunisia, Corsica and Malta.

One of the biggest appeals for me on this cruise is to hit another continent.
We got S. America in on the EB Pepo a couple of months ago. This cruise would be Europe and Africa.
I am very intrigued after reading online about Tunis, Tunisia. That will definitely be another culture for us to experience.

I'm in. Ditto! I missed out on the last Med cruises. I'm not going to miss again. (Shhhh....I'm also going to do the 7/18 Baltic and spend some time on the continent before boarding this one. and yes, I'll be eating peanut butter and crackers for two years to do it!):goodvibes :cool1:

Ohh! That is going to great. I wish I could do that too but I might be pushing my luck to get my boss to approve another 2+ week vacation right after I get back from last one.
I get 5 weeks of vacation a year but like to spread out.
I know we will at least fly in to Barcelona the day before but not sure how much further than that.

That sounds awesome! I will be pushing it to get my DH to take off the 12 -14 days we will need to do this cruise.

Barcelona is a wonderful city, very easy get around. Their Hop on Hop off Bus system is a great way to see the sites. Just beware of pickpockets, they are in full force in Barcelona.

DH and I did a Med cruise in 2006 out of Barcelona without out 3 DDs. So it will be nice to cruise to many of the same ports again and share them with our DDs.

My eldest DD and I sailed the Magics WB TA in 2007 and that is one of the major reasons for leaning towards sailing DCL in Europe again.

Well hopefully since this does not appear to be a particulary popular cruise we will have time to book without fear of the prices spiking. :)

I hope so!! It would be great to get in on Tier 1 pricing. :goodvibes

This is tragically funny that there appear to only be a few DIS'ers on this cruise. Maybe more will jump on board after next week. :)

Yeah, this is strange. I'm sure we will see more Disers after booking opens.

Here's hoping everyone gets what they wanted tomorrow for booking, and that you got in on the first tier.:thumbsup2

We're in!! We got a Cat. 7 and the Cat. 11 directly across. From what I can tell, it looks like we got first Tier pricing too. :yay:

Hey - We are in too!
I couldn't find this thread until just now. I figured there was one out there so I didn't want to try to start a new one.

we booked a Category 8 (though I may switch it to 6 before the end of the day). Just thinking that on such a port-intensive cruise the verandah (which we use sparingly anyway) wouldn't get much use.

Looking forward to getting to know my fellow cruisers over the next 22 months (yikes).

We are planning a trip to Greece in advance of this cruise to see relatives and then hop over to Barcelona to board the Magic.

It will be me, DW, DD11 and DD6 (ages when we cruise)

Just booked this cruise!! Getting to Africa was also a draw for us! My oldest daughter will have just graduated from high school and the other will be starting her junior year. I've never booked anything this far out before!! I was on hold for 3 minutes shy of 3 hours!! So glad we got it. :cool1:

I am also booked on this cruise. I had faxed IC a while back and looked online this morning and it showed they had changed my dummy ressie over to this cruise. I did snag a SPR and first tier pricing but its still pretty expensive and still much more to spend on airfare etc.

I'm booked, too, but am pretty surprised at the high cost (I booked a cat 8) . . . Coral, it will be nice to sail with you again, but I'm not going to count on doing this cruise until closer to time. I loved the Med cruise I went on last summer, and it seemed to me that they kept my favorite ports and added much more interesting ones to replace the ones I didn't like as well! I agree that Malta, Tunis, and Corsica look fascinating . . .

Hi all,

we're booked :cool1: - just my dh and myself sailing

We actually did the 11 night med crusie with DCL in 2007 (along with Julie Bellelinus)

We had such a great time - and with different ports I couldn't resist.

( MUst admit though I really wanted to do the Last baltic cruise however school does not finish here in the UK until 23rd July and I'm a teacher)

Looking forward to planning and getting to know people

:goodvibes

Hi Helen!:cheer2:

Too bad you couldn't bring along the doggies . . .

Don't have official word from DU, yet. But disneycruiseline website shows our 7-day, eastern for 2009 is now an 11-day mediterranean for 2010.:cool1: Just checked, so I've come to meet people.
We will be me, DH, DD-then 16 just finished 10th grade, and hopefully, Dniece- then 19 and just finished freshman year of college.
DH wanted a balcony to escape/hide on.We'll be on deck 7, cat 5.
