Have a WONDERful cruise!

We were scheduled for the 4-day Wonder cruise Oct 26-30, but had to rebook to this cruise due to my wife and daughter's schedules. Anyone else from the boards going on this cruise?

Our first and only cruise experience was a 4-night Wonder cruise in late January 2007. The weather will, I bet, be MUCH different this time than the first time.

Looking forward to seeing "Toy Story The Musical" and snorkeling in what hopefully will be a little warmer water than what we experienced Jan '07. Brrrr!!

gortman65,

Hi! We also had to change our plans. We were originally on the Sept 4th cruise but had to move to this one. "We" consists of my 13 year old daughter and I on a 'Mom and Me' fun vacation.

Of course, we are heartbroken that the date change moves us one month closer to embarkation. NOT :cool1:

Anyone else joining us? C'mon.....anyone?

Christy

Well in whole there will be ten of us going. This includes my 2 grandparents, 2 aunts, an uncle, a little cousin who's 6, my parents, and my sister(13) and I(17).

Great to see that some fellow DISers will be on the cruise. We are still waiting for our room assignment -- anyone already have theirs?

Are you planning to do any excursions during the Nassau day? At first we were going to stay onboard to enjoy the ship, but then decided we should be more adventurous. So DW is signed up for the morning Blue Lagoon Island Dolphin Enounter and I will be tagging along as an observer. Our DD will either be encountering or observing based on how she's feeling that day. :)

45 days and counting to cast off!

We are also on this cruise, myself (39), my wife (40), daughter (7) and son (5)...I booked this cruise over a year ago...i can't believe its only weeks away. On Nassau day I'm planning on going to the Wynham on Cable Beach for a day pass...great value for $15 per person to use all of their facilities.

Very exciting, 4 families now. Thanks for starting the the thread 'pirate'.

We haven't signed up for any shore excursions yet. We did a Nassau dolphin encounter some years ago and Stacy said she'd pass. Is the Wyndam tour a Disney thing? I'm going to look because I don't remember seeing it.

Now, are we supposed to wear green or decorate the doors? This is a pretty small group. Ideas?

the Wyndham at Cable Beach sells day passes for $15 a day for full use of all the pools, beaches and restaurant/bars...also I believe it includes the use of the Sheraton right next door. I have never done this, but lots on this board have and they say its great. You either take a short cab ride or take the "Jintey bus # 10" right by the straw market. This is not a Disney thing at all. You can also read alot about the Wyndham on www.cruisecritic.com.

Thanks Vinnie! I found quite a bit of info on the place. Sounds really nice.

We just found that we'll be joining you all! Just booked today, in fact.

There will be five of us, Dad (48), Mom (58), Nathan (17), and my twin brother Joshua and myself (Rachel) will be turning 20 the day before we sail. :)

I'm almost beside myself with excitement! :teeth:

This will be our first DCL cruise. We are doing a Land/Sea and got upgraded from CBR to the Dolphin for the land portion!:yay: DD(24) and I are sharing a stateroom and my friend and her two DD's (23 and 20) are sharing another. We are still Cat12 GTY so we'll see if we get an upgrade on our sea portion, too!

Teacher510, I'm so glad to hear that there will be others near the age of my brother and myself on board! You all will have a wonderful time; DCL really spoils you. :)

Thanks for the good wishes! What a nice way for you and your brother to celebrate your birthday!:bday:

So, has anyone received their documents? We're newbies but I understand that we should expect them in a week or so? We booked a Cat12 GTY for our Land/Sea trip and haven't heard about a stateroom yet. We did get upgraded from CBR to the Dolphin a few weeks ago though!:yay: We've stayed at the Swan before so we know how nice the location is! We plan to stay on the ship when we're in Nassau. That'll be our "day at sea!" I can't believe that it's almost here!:woohoo:

We haven't received our documents yet. They should arrive about 2 weeks before the sail date, though, along with the luggage tags and all that. I think that final stateroom decisions are also in the packet (though I don't remember that well; I didn't pay much attention to such things on our previous cruises).

You won't regret staying on the ship in Nassau. My first cruise we left the ship in Nassau and I felt I hadn't had enough time to enjoy the Wonder! I also recommend getting to the port early so you can get on the ship as soon as they start boarding. Even though you won't sail for hours, you can learn your way around, eat, swim, and generally start your vacation! :)

Thanks for the info. I don't know what time the bus is picking us up to go to the port. It was 12:30 from CBR but I haven't been able to find out the time for the Dolphin.:confused3 I imagine that it will be about the same. The plus to not leaving for the port early is time to visit MK one last time! Not a bad trade-off. We should still get to the Wonder with a few hours to explore!:)

We haven't gotten our cruise documents yet, either, although our GTY changed to an actual stateroom number this past weekend.

Hard to believe we are less than a month away now!
