Adding an extra trip in August and I was wondering
How hot and humid it will be?
How much rain will there be?
How bad will the crowds be?

Thanks for the info!!

We have been there end of August for four of the last six years. Weather until last year was extremely dry but hot and humid. You need to go to the parks early, take a break then go back late in the afternoon. Last year was cooler but more rain - much more rain. We are going back this August and would prefer heat over rain. Crowds in '99 and '00 were light - moderate, '01' was real crowded and '03' was moderate - crowded" depending on the park. Epcot in '03' was particularly crowded but probably due to the new ride - went there on a Sunday and it was mobbed (which is not the normal). Go early, take an break and avoid the EE park and you should be OK.

It's VERY hot and humid but WDW has lots of A/C (except AK:rolleyes: )

It may rain every day but not for too long. When it does rain it's short but very refreshing!

I've never been that early in August so I'm not sure about the crowds. I'd expect pretty heavy, but good solid planning will help out there. ::yes::

We usually go every august, but we just got back from our april trip and I think everyone in our family wants to go this time of the year now. August is very hot and humid. It takes a toll on our one ds asthma. You should get to the parks early and leave by noon for an ac and swim break. Return later when its cooler. Bring a water bottle, keep hydrated, wear light colored clothes, bring lots of sunscreen, hat, mister fan etc. I usually make gatorade and bring it into the parks. This past aug. was just too much rain. Bring your poncho, extra socks etc. I even had the ds wear their water shoes into the parks once as the sneakers were still wet. We even had to put up with the tornado warning this time. It was more rain then we have ever dealt with. Be prepared to leave your pool in a hurry when the storm rolls in. You really dont feel like eating too much with the hot temps. Just always have a rain plan and you should be ok. If you plan on doing a water park get there as soon as they open. By 11 they could close and dont reopen until 2-3. Also chairs run out by 11.

We're going in August also. We didn't have much choice. We were going to go in September, my DD is starting preschool this year and my wife thought it would be better if we went before. I said, "o.k. if that's what you want". We'll see how it goes. I don't mind the rain, but we'll see how hot it gets. Looking at charts online, and in Burnbahms, it appears the temp and rain difference are not that different from July or Sept. We're crossing our fingers!

Hope you have a great time!
