I don't know what is going on...I'm not getting my emails of this thread that I had been..

I saw the LLBean personal organizer and was wondering how easily it can be folded and packed into a suitcase?
I'll just settle for the hanging door organizer if I can't find the over-the-door organizer!

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and getting anxious here...I know I need to really start packing. Even putting things into a suitcase and see how much stuff we really need to take. I'm a last minute packer, as my DH says...but this time I won't be.

Jenny, we may just take up on your offer of the bubbles. I was thinking of packing some, but then again...will they fit?
So many things to remember...and my packing list is not complete.

Eve...never heard of RideMax...sorry.

Jinny...don't stress on it. Make a list of each night's dinner....Formal, Semi, Tropical/Pirate, and four casual. Then, right down the outfit for each.
Add a few pairs of shorts, a couple of t-shirts, jammies, two swimsuits, water sandals, toiletries....and the miscellaneous stuff we mentioned. You're done!
Oops...documents, cameras, film.......hat, sunglasses, spare glasses if needed...

Stacey, you are so right. I did think of each night's dinner and what to wear...but jotting it down ..now why didn't I think of it? Will do that with my 2 DDs.

Hi Everyone and Renegade7!

I have been out of the loop since I got back from my family vacation at DL. I was too focus on DL vacation.

As of today, I just got my documents from DCL.

Now I realize that there only 22 days left before boarding the Disney Magic. I got to get packing again.

I do it for the whole family. I have to have it written down...what top goes with what skirt, what shirt with what slacks. I can't just stand in the closet and do it...it has to be written down. Even for this upcoming 3 nights in Vegas...I just couldn't stand there and say "Okay, I want the white blouse with the coral capri's" had to write it.

Jinny - I pack everything into my LLBean organizer and one of us just carries it on. Everything starts together and stays together that way. This time may be a challange though as we have 2 rooms so I guess I need 2 of most things.
I've been buy mayching up outfits for dinners but haven't thought of much else. Probably mostly capris as shorts and I don't get along well. Well its vacation so maybe shorts anyway.
Monday is Kenney's 16th birthday so its going to be a busy weekend. I took Monday off and we're going to DMV to get his permit (yes, he's old enough for his license but he had some "grade issues" in school and the permit was postponed). I'll share what his BIG birthday present is on Monday.

Stacey, I love the tips on Shutters and what to pack. Did you mention socks? I need them for walking with sneakers.

Jenny, Hope you have room for the bubbles, do you need to ziplock bag them so they don't leak anywhere? I wonder how much they weigh (or aren't you flying, I can't keep track - some CA people are flying since it is such a big state). Jess' opening night is 7/28, but the other one she dropped out of is 7/21 - we will probably go 2 or all 3 nights (only $5). She is giving roses to each of her friends in it. She mentioned today how she is looking forward to meeting Brynee and talking "shop".

I am loving all the people coming on the thread now, Vickie, I hope we meet your co-workers cousin (if that is the correct relationship) on here.

Eve, you sound so busy with the two vacations - they both sound wonderful.

I can't wait to meet everyone. I feel like I know you all pretty well, but the spouses and kids will be like, "who are all these people?" LOL

It took our kids all of ten minutes to become buddies....they LOVED having friends on the ship who their parents "knew".

OK, the bubbles will be at the Sail-Away: Cathy (3), Eve (4) and Jasak (4?). I still have 8 to give away...just let me know. Just don't want to take them if no one wants them and I won't hand them out randomly as I am on "vacation" and don't want to be in my "yes, I help kids" mode not to mention that Brynée will roll her eyes They are the mini-bottles (party-favor size) so they don't weigh much and we are driving to the Sheraton the night before and getting shuttled over.

We're off to DL tomorrow for the !!

Also, to Kenney ! He must be anxious to get his permit!

By the way everyone I got our docs yesterday . I can't believe I started planning this last may and it is finally here. ( I thought this day would never arrive somedays). By the way I forgot to mention a awhile is your group still doing the stateroom tour. If so, If you don't have a cat 9 to look at I have two of them and they are connecting. Just that I would mention it. Well thats it for now. I hope everyone else is staying cool, while our family is roasting in this 115 degree weather. I have a great weekend everyone.

Jenny, I found two of the small favor size bottles of bubbles, I can bring those too. We might use them all for our cruise meet alone, it will be so much fun.

Is anyone planning on starting a LIVE thread once we are onboard or does everyone like to stay away from the computer on vacation? I was just curious. Last time I didn't use the computer but I was debating if I might this time to check in to the forum and keep updated on Big Brother (which I am a big fan of - I get the 24/7 feeds and play the fantasy league and all).
They have websites that have updates you can read.

DD and I are off to the mall to look for another bathingsuit for her and maybe a sundress.

Cathy - I wasn't planning on the internet package; it sounds as if you'll be our official "Live Thread" cruiser! Hope you had fun at the mall - bathing suit shopping is always fun for Brynée but I can't say the same for me.

It's going to be 106 today But, only in the high 80's at DL !! I find it weird that I'm looking forward to a high 80's day .

No bathingsuit, the selection is less and they are starting to put out Back to School stuff already (and school is later here). We may have to look at DL, do they have shops in the hotels? I know they will be more expensive but if they are nice that is okay. Jess did get a nice pink dress she could wear for dinner (seems more like a dance dress though) and she got a pair of capri's (white) that she can wear for dinner. I keep procrastinating getting my outfits out to try them on. My cruise room is not air conditioned...

Our friends are on the Carnival Glory leaving today, hope Hurricane Emily doesn't upset their itinerary too much. I saw their ship at Port Canaveral on the Radisson cam.

Cathy Near DL, there is a Target Store at Chapman Avenue and Harbor Blvd. in Garden Grove. It is about 1 mile south on Harbor Blvd from DL. Maybe you can find a bathing suit there. Good Luck.
