Cathy Near DL, there is a Target Store at Chapman Avenue and Harbor Blvd. in Garden Grove. It is about 1 mile south on Harbor Blvd from DL. Maybe you can find a bathing suit there. Good Luck. :goodvibes
Thanks Lisa, we have Target here too, but she didn't like what they had, they might have different stuff out there though. Does anyone know if they have summer items like beachwear year round in CA? Here they start with the Fall stuff so early and it is hard to find selection of summer things (although good sales for what they do have). She has one new one and she didn't swim too much last time so it should have time to dry in between.

Cathy

We don't have swimwear year round, however I was in target on saturday and there were a ton of cute swimsuits. I hope this helps.

We don't have swimwear year round here, in fact when Sara and I went shopping a month ago we had a hard time finding swimsuits for her. Ended up at Macys and spent way too much on them! Everything in our stores is pretty much Fall and back to school already.

There's a Quiksilver store in DTD and they carry Roxy clothing. Didn't go to DTD except to stand in line at 6am!

DL's birthday was great! 10,000 die-hard pin/DL fanatics stayed overnight and were allowed to line up in DCA for food/drinks and bathrooming. They were processed, given wristbands and their gold Mickey Ears - The 50th logo is on the front and "July 17, 2005" is embroidered on the back! (Different than the ones that can be purchased) At 6am they stopped the line into DCA and began a new one at La Brea Bakery area. We got in line in front of Libby Lu. At 7, the DCA line was moved into DL...took 75 minutes to move the line of people who were all wearing their ears and we watched excitedly while we were allowed to wait at the entrance gates. Everyone was in a "Birthday Party" mood...some lines were doing the wave and we cheered and waved as the Monorail went by loaded with DLH guests! At 8:15 we entered through the gates and were given our ears and special commemorative maps! They also gave out Birthday cupcakes at all of the food locations! We saw Eisner, the new guy, Art Linkletter, Walt's daughter and ARNOLD!! The park was not as crowded as expected (50,000). They never closed the entrance gates...in fact, they were still selling tickets and handing out hats throughout the day. We left at 5 and people were still coming in!
We immediately went to Space Mtn when we entered and Brynée was on and off within 30 minutes  ! I got FPs for her for later; I've never done well on SM and didn't want to chance it as we had the whole day + a drive home ahead of us! The "birthday ceremony" was cool and it was an amazing sight to see the hub and Main Street filled with thousands of people - a virtual sea of Gold Mickey Ears :earsboy: :earsboy: It was a fantastic experience! (We had viewed the fireworks from the hub on Saturday night!)

Eve - Wait times at SM were over 2 hours by mid-morning. The best thing to do is head there first and check the wait time and also get FPs. Brynée was able to ride SM twice and saved 1 FP as a memento. Or, on a regular day, Brynée usually heads to Matterhorn w/DH and I go to SM for the FPs. Matterhorn doesn't have FP but the lines move fairly quickly.

One store in the Castle was dedicated to 50th merchandise. We found the hard to find 50th pins there. If you are on Main Street, check the candy counters in the candy store areas; we found the Mickey + Ears 50th pins in crystal bowls there while they were sold out in store locations!

If anyone needs any DL/DCA tips, just ask!!

Cathy, I was at Kohl's today and found a swimsuit for my DD 10. Still quite a few left - 50% off. Hope that helps.

Happy Birthday Kenny! :bday:

Still waiting for our cruise docs! Our TA said they were sent to their home office instead of us.

Hi Kazu! I am jealous, we haven't gotten our docs yet. I'm calling our TA again tomorrow!
Vickie

Actually my TA has them so I have to pick them up. I live kind of far away from AAA where I go, I may try to go on my lunch hour tomorrow but I have a Noon to 1pm meeting! :sad2: my customer is on Central time so it is earlier for them... I could try to go at 1pm. I want to know what airline and what time flights are, etc.

Thanks for all the bathingsuit help, we ordered a couple online - they had instructions to measure for size so it should be okay. They had a quicker delivery choice.

Kazu - Did you see that we planned a meet for the Sailaway party on Saturday the 6th? We are meeting on Deck 10, starboard side (right side when facing front of ship). Some of us will have DIS buttons and bubbles.

Cathy

Hi guys! Sounds like your plans are coming along swimmingly!! Great!

I didn't meet up with Barb in Las Vegas. They weren't arriving until later in the day on Monday and Jay & I left the hotel at 1:00.....so I hope they're having fun and enjoying themselves.

Someone mentioned a while back (either Jinny or Courtney) that they weren't getting e-mail notification of responses to this thread.....I think when the Boards changed their system that option was lost.....you might try going to the bottom of this page, and check the box that says "Subscribe to this thread" and see if you start getting the e-mails again.

Its funny, lately I have been getting 2 or 3 emails for each new post. Maybe I'm getting everyone else's email notification!

Can we transport bottled water in our checked luggage onboard?
It's been discussed before. But now I'm confused :confused3 thought I read somewhere that we can bring bottled water and other drinks in our carryon only?

I don't see any reason why you couldn't put bottled water in your checked luggage. We have carried Pepsi and wine onboard...but only because I didn't want it to break or explode in the suitcase. I'd put bottled water in my luggage...

Congrats jasak for being on the T.O.P.! :cheer2:

My DH wants to know, what kind of soda is served on board the ship? He really hopes it's Coca-Cola
