As we were going to Mr. Sancho's beach in the afternoon, we took it easy in the morning. Breakfast as usual at Lumiere's followed by some pool time at Quiet Cove. Lunch was also at Lumiere's as Parrot Cay was closed for lunch that day.
The Magic docks at a new dock in Cozumel that is about 3 miles from where the other ships were docked. Two were from Carnival and one each from Celebrity and RCCL. The area around where they were docked looked old and rundown when we passed it on the way to Mr. Sanchos. A coast guard cutter was docked on the other side of the Magic and looked quiet small in comparison.
We took a cab (15.00 for three) to Mr. Sanchos which was about a 15-20 minute drive. DS wanted to try the water trampoline but it was broken. The beach was very nice but we preferred 7 mile beach. They also had wave runners and kayaks to rent. DW & I stopped in the little shops on our way out to get a cab to return to the ship and stopped at the shops at the end of the pier before reboarding and heading up for a cool relaxing swim.
Dinner was at Parrot Cay that night which was Mexicali night. The APL rotation is great on the Western as it puts you in Lumiere's on the two formal nights and in Parrot Cay on Mexicali night. The waitstaff put on a show and many guests danced around the room in a conga line. DS(15) had chicken fingers while the rest of us took Sylvesters advice and had the pork tenderloin stuffed w/fruit. Seven layer chocolate cake and white chocolate cheesecake w/whipped cream & guava sauce were the desert choices that night.
The premiere of Freaky Friday complete w/red carpet was the entertainment tonight, we all enjoyed the movie. Then it was up to deck 10 to watch the Mexicali party over the Goofy pool, and the desert feast on deck 9 (as if we needed more deserts). It was fun to look at the display of carved melons and the ice sculpture. I held myself to two pieces of cake that I hadn't sampled yet and shared them with DW and DS.
Tomorrow is another relaxing sea day as we turn east and head for Castaway. Where is the time going? How come a week at the office never passes this quickly? Since we are changing our watches back then ahead can we also add a few more days?
