Hi all!!

We just booked this cruise. Just two of us- me Joanne and DH Roger. Our kids are grown and on their own!!!! I can't wait to see the Dream!! We have been on the Wonder & Magic.

I just finished reading the whole thread. This is a small group? Where is everyone staying the night before? Are there any meets set up?

dizneeat- we were in your beautiful country in December. Our youngest is in the air force stationed in Germany. So we did a two week see as much as we could vacation. Germany, Austria, France, Luxenburg & Prague!!

Can't wait to meat every one!!

I live in Central Jersey - Cream Ridge it's right next to Great Adventure Park.

I was born in Long Island and my mom's family is still all there. having them all here for a big family reunion July 28! Once I get through that weekend then my planning for the cruise will begin.

Trying to come up with ideas for gifts for the FE. My 13 year old daughter is excited about it. We are going to make our own FE, not sure how it will turn out, but she can't wait to work on it.

I know exactly where you are. Spent a few days at Great Adventure in the 70's & 80's.

I am not crafty so I will find something that will work!!

I am off today due to a training day Saturday. I am doing housework and going to do my first bit of cruise shopping. No clothes but sunscreen, Tylenol etc. Even if not needed cheaper than buying on the ship. I always bring travel size pain pill, Rolaids, cough drops etc.... I also need to do the FE shopping!!!

We are going to drive down after work so we won't get to Orlando until Midnight. So we just want something clean and cheap with a free breakfast!!!

We booked one day after at S Springs since Monday is a holiday!!!

Plenty of sunscreen is essential for us too. It sometimes doesn't "feel" that hot with the breeze at sea, but the sun is strong.
And since I burn easily a Cabana is a top priority for us - somewhere to get out of the sun.

We live in Florida and have a little tan but the sun down there is so much stronger!!! So I have new sunscreen and new after sun lotion. I read a thread that says they changed from the body butter to a lotion. I love the
H20 body butter. It's great on sunburn!!

I read that too, so sad, because I just loved the body butter. But if I remember correctly they sell those products in the shops ...... so let's hope they at least SELL the body butter.

Welcome!! I will try. There is a metal fish next to the door of your cabin. The cruiseline will leave you notes there. Cruisers hang a thing called a fishe extender from it. It looks like one of those back of the door shoe holders but with only one row of pockets. If you participate you will get a gift from every one involved and you need to bring a gift for all.

Welcome You've got the FE gifts right. Something small that fits in the pocket. Can be homemade or store bought. Some people do cruise related items and others do things that represent where they are from. If you do a search of fish extender on this board you will find lots of threads with ideas of things you can do.

Hi!! If you scroll back a few posts you will see who is coordinating the FE. Dizneat. She will add you to the list.
There is also a group on facebook Disney Dream 8-29-12 if you are interested in joining that group send a request and I will approve it.

Welcome to the DISboards and welcome to our cruise thread!

I am sure you are going to love to cruise with DCL. The DREAM is an absolutely beautiful ship and there is so much to do and see.

I guess the FE exchange has already been explained. It's a secret Santa kind of thing. You hang your "Fish" extender outside your stateroom door and people who are doing this exchange with you will leave little presents in it, while you do the same for them.

If you want to join please post the first names of everyone who is cruising and the ages of your kids and your stateroom number, so we can put you on the list.
