Got our pirate costumes delivered yesterday. DW's came with pants and mine didn't. Fortunately I was able to find black scrub bottoms in the hospital that will work perfectly. I can't believe we are leaving for MCO a week from tomorrow.

Safe trip Frank!

Just to double check, did we settle on a place and time for the Dismeet? I know it is at 3:00 p.m. on the day of embarkation. Was the place finally decided? I thought we had settled on Vista Cafe, but then there was some posts after that suggesting D-Lounge instead and I was not sure if anything had changed.

There appeared to be more interest in the Vista Cafe so we went with that.

For those who are new to DCL there is a mandatory muster drill at 4 PM so that gives us almost an hour to meet at the Vista Cafe. Life Jackets are no longer required at the muster drill so you won't have to run back to your stateroooms to get them.

Sounds good!

I do think I'm going to miss the life jacket thing. One of the best videos we have is of the two kids wearing jackets and then bouncing off each other, sumo wrestling style, shouting "HIYA!" :)

That reminds me of one of our favorite memories. When Sarah was 6 months old we were in the middle of the muster drill having fun, taking pictures and laughing about the whole thing when a woman passenger started scolding us.

She said, "This is serious, you shouldn't be fooling around, yada yada yada". We just laughed even more and ignored her.

I mean, she was right of course, but puuleaze! Calm down. :goodvibes

People can be...I guess "intense" is a nice way to put it!

Even the CM's have been known to crack a joke or two at the muster drill.

Tonight we are exactly one week from the "I'm too excited to sleep" night since we fly out early next Wednesday morning so I had to post the video for those who never saw one of Disney' greatest commericals.

Another DCL fan favorite is the "Little Souvenir" Commercial.

I hope it helps get you even more excited!

Jeff

Darn My Kids are already in the I cant sleep mode, and there are still 8 days to go! :hyper:

The Kids????? I'm 58 and "I'm too excited to sleep!!!" mode started at 3:30 this morning. I woke up and couldn't get to sleep again till 5:30. DH got the luggage down from the attic last night. Next week at this time we will be on our way driving to Florida. We will be staying in Jacksonville Friday night and driving to port on Saturday morning. Hope I get a little more sleep the rest of this week.

We leave tomorrow AM to go to WDW before our cruise. I dozed for maybe three hours total last night. Our kids were texting me at 1:00 am, they couldn't sleep either! At three AM I got up and made a list of all the last minutes things we have to get done today. Working on getting it done now. Hopefully this means that we'll sleep tonight (leaving at 4 AM Sat).

my daughter is now giving me HOURLY updates from the countdown tracker on her iPad. :rotfl2:

Well, My DD has had sleepless nights for days now! She is too excited I think.

Bags will come out tomorrow morning. Kids have got the warning as to what to pack and anything that needs to be washed must be announced soon.

Wahoo! One more day closer to the cruise!:thumbsup2

I am So behind for this cruise! Not sure why. I was so organized for our first one and this is so mot like me. I have a Girl Scout activity all day Sat and a photography session on Sunday. In between I will get it together - I hope! p.s. I am starting to get that " OMG it's only a week away" panic. How did it get here so fast???

Just called DCL to prepay tips and deposit some funds into our onboard account.

I actually forgot until just as I was speaking to the CM that we have a $200.00 credit from our onboard booking. I don't know how I deleted that detail from my head.

Suitcases out tomorrow. I must get us packed this weekend because I have to work every day before we leave next week. Usually, I'm a night before packer. Which is actually never a good thing since I just end up making myself (and everyone around me) completely nuts!

I've got a few things packed already and a list going, but I'm way behind my typically early packing. Too much travel for work lately. Looks like I'll be up most of the night Wednesday getting everything done for Thurs morning departure.
